  • Good afternoon,Ā  yes we had a nice bright start, and whole morning, did a little pruning in the garden.Ā  It's cloudy now and temperature is dropping down fast again.Ā
IĀ  went back to Capel ManorĀ  yesterday,Ā  first time since my accident.Ā  I think they were pleased to see me , but I had to use the public entrance as they have changed all the access gates. Luckily the head gardenerĀ  Ā had a new pass waiting ready for me and it works first time which makes a change šŸ˜†
More good news my new driving licence arrived,  just as well as the old one expires next week.  I don't know why but it has always amused me that passing my motorcycle test all those years ago,  entitled me to drive a milk float, tractor   and a ride on mower on the public road even though I have never needed to😁.

    Evening.Ā

A lovely clear night (and therefore cold). I was just reminiscing with my Dad about when he first showed me how to identify some constellations on a clear night as I had noticed Orion was right above my back garden view this evening.Ā

    Take care everyone.

My garden and I live in South Wales.Ā

Beautiful day here today. Brilliant sunshine all day, but very cold as we still have snow. In fact we are now snowed in as the uphill early section of our long drive is frozen solid and no longer drivable. Having thawed out the outside tap Daughter spent most of the day running water top ups to all the field tanks via quad, trailer and dustbins, cant wait for all the field water pipes to thaw out so things can get back to normal again.
Spent half an hour firing up the old Land Rover - not started/used since the November snow. Took a bit of doing but after whispering sweet nothings in her ear she decided to comply, I need to get to the local shop tomorrow morning to replenish supplies. Moved her away from the yard and round the cottage to place her where she will catch the morning sun. Popped a blanky over her bonnet in the hope it will help with a start up late tomorrow morning.
Sending hugs to @Pat E, gently does it. So glad to hear that @D0rdogne_Damsel had a lovely weekend with Charlie and friends.
    Have a great weekend friends.

Morning everyone. Ā  Lovely sunny day here and even a bit warm. I noticed that Pixel was laying in the only shady spot on the veranda.🤭. So much for her preferred sunny mornings. Ā I’m feeling a bit better today, so perhaps the attempts at exercise is helpful, after all. šŸ™„. Ā B Covid!

Ergates, I’m glad you are enjoying the Corrina books. Ā I’m currently on the last one of that series, so I guess I’ll have to go to her other series - not my favourite character. As you say, light reading.Ā

Morning everyone, I am a bit at sixes and sevens with my body clock after our long journey on Wednesday. It takes a little while to adjust but I managed to stay awake until 8.00pm last night.Ā
The weather in South Somerset is crisp and clear, yesterday was glorious so I made a start on pruning, roses first and then a very overgrown grapevine on the pergola. I've always been hesitant to be too bold with the grape in case I kill it but I have decided that maybe they're tougher than I think and I'm going to give it a drastic haircut before it swallows the shed.Ā

    Dear Forkers,Ā

thank you all for finally sending some sun down my way! Woke up with snow on the ground, blue sky and fluffy pink clouds. Awww, nice.

Keep at it @Pat E. If you are up to it add a minute every day and soon your body will thank you for it.Ā

You have my sympathy @Suesyn. Nowadays even the one hour between Lux and the UK plays havoc with us šŸ˜„

    Happy Weekend All!

    Morning all,
so glad that you are feeling better today @PatE, and that the meds coupled with the exercise are beginning to help. Build up slowly, though, don’t over do it.
We have another very frosty day here, with fog as an additional hazard, so I doubt that I’ll be going far today.Ā
