A very good morning Mr CA and all arriving later.
Biglad, will this be the start of a string of these 'accountancy' type jobs that you do? I know that you found them tedious but they do bring in the pennies.
I find it hard to take in that we are almost through our first month of the new year. Was looking at my seed packets yesterday and need to think about sowing some soon.

Good morning Biglad, LB and all to follow.

Sunny, cold morning, and without wind. I accept it, but doubt I'll go out when is only 1℃. First tea, pets are of course already fed.

    Have a nice Sunday.

    Good morning,

It looks a little brighter but breezier outside this morning than yesterday afternoon, when it turned very dull and damp once more, after a bright start.

You had a lovely day by the sounds of it @Dovefromabove

Still very cold for you @Ante1. You’ll need to wrap up warm if you do venture out today.

    Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all busy day yesterday but back room is now cleared and I can start to tidy fiancés “office” which is a real treasure trove of clutter! I don’t quite know how we accumulate so much stuff. I will be ruthless!
Fiancés first wedding went well yesterday although there were issues with one chef not pulling her weight. My fiancé is a quiet man and some people mistake that for weakness and that was her mistake he won’t tolerate laziness and

he got annoyed when she wouldn’t mop the floor, he is head chef but he will wash pots and sweep and mop, empty bins etc they are a team and need to work together .
Hoping the air is clearer now and they can work together.
Grey here but dry I may pop to supermarket early for bread and milk. I had an Asda order yesterday but it was just wine. I took advantage of some of their good offers don’t know what the delivery man thought!

Morning all. Cold wind outside today so popped to the shop for papers in the car. Nothing planned for today, quietish  day and maybe some knitting.  Onto my last ball of wool now so should be able to finish off the throw today.
Hope you sort out fiancées office today Debs, I'm afraid I darent move anything in our study as it's full of OH's things but luckily he is a very neat and organised chap. He has to do the dusting in there though!.
LB, only two more days, after today, left and then February arrives.Time if going by far too quickly.

    Morning all.

    Another grey day outside.

The veggie lady wasn't at the market LB. Mostly cake, bread, jams, meat and curries. It was all rather expensive but I bought a slice of cake for me and cheese straws for OH and a bottle of apple juice from the apple man. I prefer it when the veggie lady and the plant lady are there.

The oil man came this morning. I'm always surprised by how much is open on a Sunday in the UK. Oil is never delivered at the weekend in France and most of the shops are shut on Sundays. Many shops shut between 12 and 2pm on weekdays, including garden centres.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Had an hour in the front garden getting rid of the dead annuals in the pots and clearing the water feature which is bubbling away in the sunshine ( solar powered fountain) but the sunshine is deceptive my hands are frozen so I have come in for a glass of wine and a bit of tv.
Lovely to smell the damp soil though and hear the birds.

Good afternoon everybody. What a cold and dismal day. Spring is on the way though.
Debs, I'm pleased that your OH has established the sort of standards he wants to have in his kitchens ans eh can either take it or leave it. Have you had any more disturbing phone calls/emails from the previous employer? I loved the news of your wine delivery! At least you had your supplies when you needed to thaw out!
Hazel, you are steaming ahead with your knitting - well done.
Busy, I love the veggie stalls too and that is a fantastic thing about the Sunday market in La Londe when we are there. Everything looks so attractive on display and oh my but the flavours when our purchases are cooked are superb! The tomatoes are always so yummy I could eat them like an apple - I don't though because the juice would be a right mess! Off to do my bird watch now.

My bird watch was less diverse than last year - fewer species showed up in the hour I chose. I've sent my results off on the RSPB website - which I have to say is not particularly user friendly. The only way I could post my results was to go through the original email from them.
It has been chilly all day so maybe that kept some of the little birds away. The wind has started to build up too - I can hear my wind chimes when I am in the kitchen.
