Good morning all. A  damp, miserable day here with drizzly rain, makes my hair go frizzy😬 Going to go for a browse round local garden centre this morning, masked up and will keep away from others. Can't see it being particularly busy today with the weather.
Ante, you sound like you could do with a good rest this weekend after your busy week.
Debs, good luck with the clearing, I've started to have a bit of a clear out...again. As you say, it gets filled up again with goodness knows what.
I see our early bird LB has been , done and gone back again by the time I've got up, puts me to shame😉
Have a good day everyone. Hope Topbird has got away okay this morning.

    Good morning all,
We have sunshine and blue sky this morning, hooray 😁.  Will attempt the Big Garden Birdwatch count again today and see if any more appear. It was a very poor show yesterday, but if it’s as poor today, then yesterdays count will be recorded instead.

My SIL likes to do the SM trip early on Saturday too for the same reason @Ladybird4. I tend to go mid week instead.

Keep well wrapped up @Ante1. -10 is very cold indeed. 🥶.

Hope you all have a good day.

    Hello all.

We went to the monthly Farmers' Market in the village hall. Had brekkies there, bacon roll and coffee.

    Cold and grey outside.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Popped to garden centre but journey wasn't pleasant. We hit a foggy patch, along with rain spray from cars whizzing along and whilst on a dual carriageway, we saw a Police car had stopped along the side. He had a driver from another car, spreadeagled against the car and he was frisking him from top to bottom!😱 It was like watching something off the TV! Don't know what he'd been doing or whether he was a " wanted man" but it's the first time I've seen that in ' real life'.
Only got some lawn care  but no plants. It was quite busy in the cafe there we noticed. I used up a £7 voucher too which I've had in my purse for months now.

Good afternoon all. I wonder if T'Bird's brain has exploded yet - I hope I've got it right that this is her course weekend?
Since my 'sco shop, I've brought the pots that need cleaning into the kitchen but surprise surprise I haven't done them yet. Been chatting/texting with various family members and friends. I've filled the bird feeders ready for Big Garden Birdwatch tomorrow as the little perishers have emptied them and I've done a fair bit of pottering about.
Hazel, I guess you and your OH must feel much better today so that is good news. Shame about the lack of plants. Wow fancy seing that police activity! I have never seen that before but I have witnessed a 5 police car chase of a very fast car down the opposite side of the M6 to where I was driving. I was glad that it wasn't on my side! Its always good to get a voucher used up. There is nothing more annoying than finding one in your handbag that has gone out of date.
Busy, did you buy anything else nice at the farmers market? Lovely veggies or suchlike?
Red maple, I have always been an early riser so shopping then is bliss.

LB, OH feels better in a morning but by the afternoon he starts to feel worse again.  It's normal but not very pleasant to go through it. Hopefully it may soon pass. I'm feeling more like my normal self today so 🤞🤞
Your pots will always wait for another day, much more pleasant talking the day away/ catching up with family and friends.🙂
I, too, am signing out for today.  Have a nice evening everyone.
  • A few hours of some domestic chores inc Lilys tv, all hung to dry.  Hoping those unwell will manage as best as possible.  LB I have searched for Wildlife Trust Bees MP letter and have chosen some wording and added my own.  Thank you for advising of the forthcoming meeting.  My hand is going to sleep as I tap.  Let’s hope they will move forward and stop using pesticides and think of the natural world.  Have a good evening all.

    Morning all,

Woke up in the CA an hour ago. I'm thinking of putting a bed on e-bay!

Got very little done yesterday - it was damp and dreary and too much sport taking place ;) I really must get a wriggle on with all the little jobs to do though. Especially as my next job is looming into view :(
