    Good morning,

It started bright and frosty here this morning but is now becoming cloudier. The forecast promises ā€œmixed precipitationā€ from approx 10 am. It really doesn’t have to bother 😁.
Had a very nice afternoon yesterday meeting former colleagues. The time sped by, but it was good to have the opportunity for a face to face catch up.

Will go and have some breakfast now. Have a good day.
  • Morning everyone,Ā  thought it was supposed to be milder today but the cloud is stopping the sun coming through.Ā  Might have to brave the plots we need more potatoes from store.

Morning all, it's milder here and the snow has started to melt. Fortunately the car has de-iced itself in readiness for going out a bit later for our Xmas lunch with friends, it's about 45 mins away so hope it continues to be warmer. I've just painted my nails - a neon pink, bit startling but what the heck. Typing very gingerly whilst it dries properly!

Looks like our forecast is for heavy rain tomorrow and maybe Monday too. Staying in bed sounds a very good idea @Punkdoc, why didn't I think of that. Duty calls though, someone has to eat turkey and Xmas pudding!

    Hello all.

    Cold, frosty and sunny here.

I've been doing hatework, kitchen has been de-cobwebbed and floor smells of floorwash, no more bits on sitting room carpet. I think not having Internet leaves room for other things, but it is making OH depressed.

It started raining early morning here, but it’s still not much above freezing. The hard-packed ice on the yard is melting very slowly. The fields are gradually turning greener. No more lovely crispy snow on our walk. My winter salads in the polytunnel look dead. They normally recover from some frost, but -9°C was probably a few degrees too much.Ā
Carmarthenshire (mild, wet, windy). Loam over shale, very slightly sloping, so free draining. Mildly acidic or neutral.

Hatework!Ā  Love that @Busy-Lizzie!Ā  (The phrase, not the activity!).
I felt absolutely tired out yesterday so stayed in bed, reading and snoozing, only getting up for supper (cooked by darling OH) and TV watching - the soaps and the Traitors which for some inexplicable reason we love.Ā  Not normally fans of these kind of reality shows.
The Christmas 'do' went very well the other evening.Ā  Managed to keep hold of a couple of the table decorations I made, one for me, one for a friend who is having an 'open house' tomorrow.Ā  She's already posted a picture of the Christmas cake she has made - beautifully iced - that is for friends, so I daresay a slice of that is in the offing...
OH out at the shops - can open and stash away the jumper that has arrived for him.Ā  He said he wanted one so...
    Stay warm folks!

    Afternoon all.

A white and icy frost this morning, but luckily any threatened snow did not arrive. It has warmed up to about 6!Ā

Didn’t want to go near any shops today but did a run to pet store for supplies. When I came out, the car park was gridlocked! There’s a toy shop, and a few other big stores in the same bit and it seems that everyone had arrived at the same time. Call me old fashioned but the unwritten rule is ā€˜one in; one out’ for turning out of car park ā€˜lanes’ but due to an abundance of selfish drivers, there was chaos.Ā

Absolutely shattered after first day back in work yesterday so it will be early PJs this evening.Ā

I hope everyone is doing ok.Ā

Well that’s put a bit of a damper on Christmas, ex NDN is now taking us to court. I am so angry.

  • Unbelievable cheek @punkdoc, just shows he has no scruples at all. Hope he looses and has to pay any costs.
