Bbbbbrrrrr, I think we are back to double digit negative temperatures, but I am off to the bar, which has a roaring fire.
    Stay safe all.

Morning everyone. I’m very glad that we don’t have your weather. In fact, when I opened the door to the veranda, it was too warm!  I’ve opened all the windows and retired inside until it cools down out there for a bit. Pixel is fast asleep on the bed with Hubby. 😉

    Morning all.
    The snow turned into rain.
I must finish my French cards, do the ironing, mend OH's jumper and wrap presents, same tomorrow. Also fetch decorations from the loft. I hate the loft, going up the ladder, too low to stand upright, freezing cold.

    Morning all,

It’s still cold and frosty here today, but marginally warmer than yesterday. The sun attempted to break through earlier, but has failed miserably. At least we don’t have any snow yet - we had a very brief coating Sunday morning but it soon disappeared.

Going out for Christmas lunch this afternoon at a local garden centre. We booked it a few weeks ago. Their food is always very good, so looking forward to it.

When I get back I may or may not tackle the ironing that is waiting to be done. I suspect I’ll do it tomorrow 😁.

  • I've only got a small pile of ironing @Red maple ... if I put it with yours you'd hardly notice ...  ;) 🙏

Know that feeling well @Red maple!  Luckily OH doesn't mind doing a bit of ironing, love him.
I have 10 cyclamen that I'm decorating for a do on Thursday.  I've solved the problem of the soil falling out of the pots by wrapping a bit of rolled up newspaper around the stems.  But it's much more difficult than I thought to get the fir/ivy wrapped around the top of the pot - the widest part - tightly enough.  Have got 2 done and must do the other 8 today.  And finish writing the Christmas cards and there is still a bit more admin. to do on my laptop.  But no outside appointments today so should be able to get all that done.
The oven man came yesterday - I will never struggle to clean it myself again as it has come out like new!  And he gave us a silicone mat to put on the bottom - that can just be removed and washed. So, can we be disciplined enough to wipe round the sides and door of the oven after every roast?
