Ooh Ante - that is an excellent sign! We are supposed to be getting temperatures like that on Monday. Time will tell.

    Good morning,
it sounds miserable weather @Ante1. Here we have a very keen frost and -2degrees C. This is due to change to wetter weather at the weekend.
Meeting some friends for afternoon tea today. Looking forward to a good catch-up.
    Have a good day everyone.

It it sounds like a problem at their end @Rubee. 🀞it’s sorted out by the time you’ve had a cup of tea.

Ruby, your bus pass will be renewed automatically. Well I am assuming that all Councils are similar (silly me). When I went on to renew mine - which expires at the end of this month - I was told that the new one would be sent to me and I didn't need to do anything.

    Morning all.

Getting colder again after the rain. The sky is blue and the sun is shining. A flock of cranes flew by this morning, going south, but I was too slow with the camera. I've never seen them leave so late.

I hope the pipes are OK at the Norfolk Cottage, we turned the water off before coming to France. It sounds very cold in the UK.

Haven't done much yet, apart from read the papers on the computer. Thank goodness the nurses in Suffolk and Norfolk aren't on strike.

The hazel tree has shed the last of it's leaves so I'll rake them up this afternoon. Must prune the grapevine before we go back to Norfolk.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Morning Busy. It has been positively Baltic here the last few days. Handy brother is having a problem with his water and has no idea what is going on. Will he ask a plumber - no! He says he is just waiting for the thaw. Sometimes I could really shout at him. He reminds me so much of our Dad, who would leave things until the last minute (a burst water pipe for example) to call in an expert. Good luck with raking up the leaves.
p.s. Busy, I meant to say how lovely it must have been to see the cranes flying over. Were they 'calling' as well?

Morning all. Up early today to be ready for a BT engineer to call between 8-1pm. He came at 8.15am and went, finally at 10.45am. And he talked non-stop. We're knackered and all talked out.
I meanwhile, have managed to flood the kitchen floor, cupboards, washer and freezer and kitchen tops. All because a left the tap running over a frozen up watering can.
