@Fire, I was surprised to see how creamy that particular rose was, it's usually paler. I too, love the shape, from memory it's not an HT but to me it has that classic form - how Nollie can think of it as 'plastic' I do not know!
It's a shame that the foliage doesn't live up to the same standards, sparse and BS badly.

Gorgeous, @lizzie27... esp MM and Winchester Cathedral. Gutted I didn't buy the latter before it got abruptly withdrawn.

@WhereAreMySecateurs, that's a shame. I'm not quite sure what has happened in all the nurseries/GC's who stocked DA roses - have they been forbidden to sell any of the withdrawn ones they happen to have left over?

I was wondering whether to nip down to a rather remote nursery I know and have a look-see.

    Congratulations @Mr. Vine Eye 🎉

And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth :)

  • Congratulations @Mr. Vine Eye, hope all are healthy and happy

They are all beautiful. Couldn’t choose a favourite. Now ,I need some serious help here if anyone is willing.
Im just home this week after3 weeks in hospital having had a big heart attack which has left me with only25% of it working properly. So I am now very unabled .My OH is no gardener I’m afraid ,he has said he will put my roses to bed for the winter for me .
What 2 or 3 things do you think a novice could do to get them to springtime alive ? My brain hasn’t caught up with me yet ,so I really could do with some general ideas for him
Thank you all in anticipation .

@bcpathome, so sorry to hear that, best wishes from me as well.

I wouldn't worry too much about your roses, they are very tough plants and can cope with a bit of neglect and don't need mollycoddling. It won't hurt them not to be pruned this winter either, just get your OH to chuck some rose feed around each bush in the spring and they'll be fine.

    Hope you'll feel better soon.
