Hi everyone. We are both still out of kilter with medical visits and our builder making progress with our veranda. Still, it’s getting there so I’m hoping that we can settle down to a quieter life soon. Hope you are all ok. Catch up later.
Hi all Glorious Autumnal day here, but it is going to be very noisy because sadly one of the neighbours is having a beautiful old Ash tree taken out, due to die back. I am home alone this w/e, Moira is meeting up with the gang she trained with, for a bit of debauchery.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Shame about the tree going @punkdoc … but sometimes there’s no practical option. Certainly since we had one of ours removed the added light has been a bonus.

Morning all, Happy Birthday @Busy-Lizzie enjoy your dinner tonight with your friends. We still have various tradesmen in and out of our new extension, we shall be glad when they have all gone away! Plaster boarding is now finished and first fix of electrics completed, OH spent yesterday wiping all the walls to remove dust before we begin the painting. Seems to be a bad year for bindweed here as well @tui34, worse than ever, in fact it's the only green in the lawn, very disheartening. It's just starting to rain (drizzle) a bit, just enough to stop you going outside.
I can understand that, @Hostafan1, I used to spend a lot of nights in hotels, by myself, when I was lecturing, never really got the hang of it. At least you have sunbathing to look forward to.

Thank you @Dovefromabove.
I'm glad you had a good holiday @Yviestevie. I hope you will have good memories despite the journey home. At least they didn't lose your luggage!
We are going to dinner tonight with friends.
A lovely sleep in a very comfy bed. It's now 24C ( managed to change it )
