That is superb news @punkdoc and wife, even better to know so quickly.Â
Feet up here as Aunty duties are over. We tried to do a mix of craft, video games and nature walks. It’s funny what they love though - we nipped to the SM and saw someone with trolley full of eggs. Literally dozens and dozens. She was laughing about that for ages and making up stories about what they would be doing with them all. We decided it was for the world’s biggest omelette.Â
Dare I believe the forecast for rain Sunday?? Garden is desperate now.Â
Just popping in to say how thrilled I am to hear the good news @punkdoc for you and Moira. Such a relief for you both. Enjoy a celebratory evening together.Â
Evening! Â Yes @Dovefrom above but the good, they die young.
Congratulations and relief to @punkdoc for Moira.  Break open the champers tonight! No cooking tonight - just enjoy some bubbly and some nibbles. @Busy-Lizzie - I would keep that appointment on the 20th September just in case the private has organised an operation on the NHS.Â
We had another almighty electrical storm at 7pm (LT) - I was out picking the last  of FIL tomatoes with BIL - very tiny - to make some sauce and the lightning was going havoc on the horizon - just got in, in time.  The drops started - heavy, then heavier,  then the downpour.  The temperature is now at 25°C.  Quite cool!!  Good for this parched dry land - the earth is soaking up these downpours without the massive flooding.  Good.
A pleasant evening to you all. Â PS Â It is dark here now by 9pm. Â A bit earlier tonight with the grey/black skies. Â La lamp au clou. Â Hang the lamp on the nail.
We’ve been out the back cutting more firewood and I was very pleased to see some Olearia in flower out there.  I’ve not found any for a few years and thought it’d all died. Our wet spring last year must have revitalised it.
Not at all Punkdoc.  I’m feeling like we are living on a knife’s edge with Hubby’s cancer and it seems to be on my mind all the time. My GP says it can go on ok for years yet, so not to worry, but easier said than done.  Enjoy your lie in and rest.Â

Both too tired to celebrate tonight, but this weekend might be different.

Lovely Picture @Pat E
We are still in bed, tired, but smiling. Feels like we are starting a new life, although I am sure that sounds  bit silly.
