    We were discussing houses earlier. I'm a bit gobsmacked to see a house in our area advertised for sale at £500,000. It's a 1930's semi-detached which needs almost total renovation! Be interesting to see if it gets anywhere near that price.

    As it was too wet for gardening this afternoon I watched ETTC and had to turn it off early - they had a new presenter, a young female who kept giggling, my pet hate.

    My nephew paid double that for a very similar house in Middx. Built in 1931 and hadn't been touched since built. Original windows, electrics and lead pipes. Handed from father to son to son. First time on the open market since they moved in in 1931. A total wreck and he considered himself " lucky to have got it for that price ".

    And folk say young folk have it easy?

    Evening.

    Plenty going on today with you all.

    Rumble of thunder here… I’ve dashed out to take down parasol (that probably won’t be making an appearance until next Summer now ☹️), check poly house is zipped up and weighted down, taken bins out and set water butt to overflow into pond. I’m ready rain!

  • @AuntyRach if you carry on with that level of preparedness you will get blamed for the next drought! My bit of Suffolk hasn't had any rain since I had my windscreen wipers replaced... Took weeks to come from Italy.... No rain since! Only one 20min lot of rain in 3 months to be honest!

    @WonkyWomble 😂

    The butts are overflowing!! Famine to feast in an hour! I hope these rain storms pass through without causing incident to anyone though.

  • We're in the middle of some lovely, welcome RAIN.

  • My phone said the rain was going to stop in ten minutes … we’d had three drops … THREE DROPS!!! 😢

  • And thunder and lightning.

    OH and I are going to Wisley on Weds. Has anyone any idea what the weather might possibly be?

    A high of 20C and 70% likelihood of rain … apparently ….   take gumboots, mackintosh and brollies .., but you probably won’t need them 🙄 🌈

    Night night folks. Sleep tight 😴
