  • Evening all,

Thank you for all kind comments about Charlie and his friend JX.

Charlie really is loving the school and the independence, although I am not very happy that on Wednesday afternoons when there are no lessons he is not allowed in the school or the dormitory until 6pm, that's 5 hours with nowhere to go. Ok whilst it's warm and sunny, but over winter it could be very uncomfortable. I bet the shop keepers and café owners in the area don't enjoy it much either, a whole pile of adolescents hanging around making one drink last all afternoon.

JX is improving day by day, very, very slowly. He is deaf in one ear and one eye is stuck in the corner, he can't stand the light and is aching all over, but on the mend. We are not sure how permanent (or not) the damage is. I feel so sorry for him. You may remember he came skiing with me and Charlie in February and he came on holiday with us last summer, he was so full of life, it's hard thinking of him being barely able to move. He is young though and very strong so we are all hoping for the very best outcome.

Have spent the evening printing off boarding passes and such like, I fly into Stansted on the 29th and then straight out again at 8am in the morning of the 30th, a week in Corfu and then back to Stansted for 2 nights and then back to France on Sunday afternoon. I am hoping to get some English shopping done and meet a friend, although she is due to have a new hip on the 4th, so we'll see. All very exciting, am really looking forward to seeing my friends, it's been 3 years now since we were last in Croatia together. I am sure @Hostafan1 is just as excited, although on your own you need to be careful, I am sure you know that. xx

Have a good evening all, I hope it all comes together for you @WonkyWomble and your tummy settles down a bit @Dovefromabove

Can't wait for my spring bulbs to come @Busy-Lizzie, love planning it all for spring. Happy digging. :)

  • I didn't see you sneak in there earlier @punkdoc... 😀.... Here you go! 🤗
  • Sounds a horrendous position to be in for a young person  @D0rdogne_Damsel, wishing JX a very speedy and full recovery. Hopefully being a fit young chap he will mend quickly. Nice to have a holiday with your friends to look forward to.... Your constantly so busy it will be nice to relax with old friends!

Now slobbing on the sofa and off to bed as soon as the local kids all shut up! Night folks ☺️

Sorry @WonkyWomble but I think that 'Wonky's Woes' are just a bit too complicated and seriously frustrating for a humour type play back. Instead I'll send you a big hug and my sincere hopes that you will get some good news tomorrow which may start the ball rolling for the prompt sorting out of all your other problems.
  • Thanks @AnnaB... It helps making light of it on here and gives me the strength for round two tomorrow! 👍😀

Here's a hug for @WonkyWomble (((hug))).  Completely understand that frustration and fingers crossed for everyone to do what they say they are going to do.  And a gentle hug for your mum and her delicate tum too ( ( ( Dove ) ) ) - not too tight!
Had flashing zig zags again today - with headache following.  Most disconcerting.  Probably stress because of all the plates I'm spinning.
Off to bed now (and hoping it will rain again overnight!).  Night night all.
