We have a Coopers in Bungay Dove, used to be Bowtells.  It is very long and thin.  When it was Bowtell's the counter ran the length of the shop - the staff must have been so fit.  Now we the customers are as we scour the shelves for what we need. But I do like the rabbit warrenness of Thorns!

Morning all, that's house and a half @Dovefromabove and I quite liked the Cromer district when we were up there earlier! I'd absolutely adore doing up a place like that if I was a lot younger, missed my vocation, I should have been a serial renovater.

Quite windy and cloudy here, still no rain. Undecided what to do today, OH is feeling better after a good night's sleep. I've got some wood to shift back into place so I ought to do that before any storms hit and some measuring up to do in case I decide to move the greenhouse.

    Enjoy your Sunday everyone.

" well Jell " as the Yoof would say ( or probably don't any more )
    Devon.
  • That looks idyllic @Yviestevie … we’re looking forward to this in four weeks’ time

Lovely photos everyone. We're quite jealous!

That house had terribly dated decor @Busy-Lizzie but you could strip it all out and make it look fantastic. Recognised that copper chimney feature, we had a similar one in this house when we first moved in, it's now in the garden as a 'feature'. Surprised that house had only two bedrooms though with all that space. OH was really keen on the billard room!
I believe you prefer the cottage style house but it's not for me. Good job we're all different isn't it. Glad you enjoyed the Agricultural Show.

I've been busy all afternoon trying to tidy the garden. I've emptied my strawberry raised bed (5 buckets full), binned the old plants and put the old compost on my three rose bed to level it up. Should have waited until it had rained but got fed up waiting. I'm going to try strawberries on a metal stand at the front of the house next year.

Just had a phone chat with my sister who's just back from a family picnic in the New Forest she'd organized, with our cousins plus their OH's, children and dogs, 15 people in all. Everyone had a good time catching up with all the family news. Such a pity we couldn't make it this year.

  • The details say 3 beds and 3 baths @Lizzie27 😊

Glad you had a good day out @Busy-Lizzie … the crowds may have been deterred by the reports of long tailbacks in the road in that area this morning.
There’s a small but very strong market for authentic  ‘retro’ styled houses … that’s as authentic as it gets … someone will pay a lot for that if the agents market it well. Although, as DS says, it’ll cost a fortune to heat. He’s getting practical in his old age 😲

Rain and maybe some hail coming your way @floralies   We have more rain tomorrow morning which is perfect.  The land will absorb this hopefully and there will not be flooding.   Do you watch Loulou on TF1 for the weather forecast?
