SGL, similar weather here but no peeking sun yet. I have got a squirrel gift of an oak sapling to remove from one of my little raised beds and I think that could be a big job as I have kept putting this off and its quite big now.

Good morning everyone.Lily ,it feels very Autumnal here too . Enjoy your relaxing day .LB it’s amazing how many little saplings appear . Over the years I have potted up and grown on several .I gave them to friends with big gardens .Kept one myself ,it’s now ten feet or so tall . Still in a big pot. It’s a Mountain Ashe .I must get up .Enjoy your day folks .

Good morning Ruby. If I can extract this oak sapling easily, it can join the hedge at the bottom of the back garden with the rambling roses but I suspect it is a bit too big to transplant.

Good morning all. Where does the time go? Busy week at work then George’s party on Saturday after a half shift at work and lunch with my oldest daughter. Sunday we drove to the Peak District to pick up a fridge trailer and had lunch in a lovely pub. Nice to spend time with fiancé for a change. Busy day today clearing back room so workmen can fit a carbon monoxide detector and my poor garden is crying out for attention plus I must make a batch of jam from some raspberries fiance didn’t need at his wedding ( the boss massively over ordered)
I also have chillies to freeze and I want to try making elderberry syrup.
Fiancé is suggesting we move all the furniture and shampoo the carpet in the front room but I doubt there’s time. Maybe later in the week.
Hope you all have a lovely relaxing Bank Holiday

Morning all. On board ship waiting to depart.

Thank you for your good wishes and a very Happy Anniversary to LB's sister & BIL. We've managed 35 so far - where are they up to.

Hope work isn't too bad Ante and the rest of you have a great bank holiday. See you in the other side!😎

    Morning all.

Have a lovely time @Topbird, looking forward to photos.

Nothing much planned for today. Still some gardening to do. I'm still in bed having coffee.

Good morning Debs, T'Bird and Busy.
Debs, do you not know it is supposed to be an extra holiday today and you should be chilling out? Seriously, how lovely to have all of those raspberries. Tell you what, you do the jam and let Fiancé shampoo the carpet. That sounds like a good division of work to me!
T'Bird, Sis and BIL are up to number 48! Cannot believe all those years that have passed. Amazing!
Here's a little scare for you; both you and your OH and my Sis and BIL have been married longer than our Ante's been on this planet! Yes Ante, I have not forgotten that you have a birthday coming up this week too!
p.s. I meant to say Busy that I hope your aches and pains mean you can have a little potter in your garden today.

Oh my goodness, what a breath of fresh air it is to see Ann Cleeves on the Beeb this morning. She is one of my favourite authors. Love love love Vera and am enjoying the latest Shetland series. She has just said that there is going to be another Vera book whilst the latest is being released on September 6th. Really looking forward to that. She did make me smile when she said that it is 'bonkers' in Australia as she has just returned from a trip and some people were thinking Brenda Blethyn would be there.
