@punkdoc   As they say in French - la putain de roue  tourne et ça tourne ......   meaning - What goes around comes around.

    Unfortunately, not always.

I'm sorry @punkdoc, it's so unfair and doesn't make sense. Any chance of appeal?

Better day today. Spoke to all my children. Going to Son 2 tomorrow for the day. Son 1 and daughter 2 will be there. I don't see Son 1 very often, 6hrs away in Burgundy. Then next week I will stay a night with Daughter 1 near Poitiers and I'll see Daughter 2 on the 11th. It's her birthday on the 12th. That means I'll see my 14 grandchildren.

Also, the electrician is coming on Friday, at last, to fix the kitchen lighting.

That sounds good @Busy-Lizzie - if a busy time! Is the electrician the last of the new house renovations? We still haven't got our new shower installed.

I dragged myself out in the garden in late afternoon (it was hot again) and took off all the yellow/diseased leaves off the roses. Then I cut down some seedheads on astrantia, chopped back iris sibirica leaves that were flopping everywhere and generally had a good tidy up. Still, lots to do.

We had sirloin steak and chips for a treat tonight followed by a fresh fruit salad, very tasty.

No @Lizzie27, it was because the fuse box nearly caught fire just before I last went to Norfolk. The electrician did a lot of re-wiring and a new fuse box while I was away but he hadn't finished. He'd reached his estimate and it was going to cost more and he wanted me to be there for the last bit. Kitchen lighting isn't working properly. I'm using a temporary plug in light for cooking, no larder lighting, no extractor fan and a couple of switches don't work.

Of course, I remember that now. Hopefully he will get it all sorted to your satisfaction on Friday.

Just popping in to say how sorry I am to @punkdoc for the results to your case. Really unbelievable, makes you wonder about the judicial system at times doesn't it? Hugs to Moira as it cant have been easy for her today.

    Thanks all.
    No we can't appeal.
Moira is understandably really hacked off, she spent a long time preparing all the paper work, getting statements from the relevant people, drawing great graphs of our gas usage and found this morning fairly stressful.
We are consoling ourselves that we are rid of the neighbour and that our little  5 house hamlet is once again a nice place to live.
There is still a bit of me thinking, how can I get ex neighbour back, must try not to dwell on it, that sort of thing can drag me down.

We were woken by a loud thunder clap right overhead this morning. Very unsettling. Then noisy heavy rain. Looks like a wet day for us.
Punkdoc, my thoughts are with you and Moria. It’s so good that he has moved somewhere else.
