Ā Morning all. I’m up early today because Hubby is waiting for the Community Transport driver to pick him up and take him to Canberra for his first cataract surgery. I don’t know what time he’ll be home this afternoon, but he has arranged for our son to bring him home and then take him back tomorrow morning for a follow up visit. A community driver will bring him back here some time after that. It’s a bit confusing, but hopefully everything will be ok. It’ll be a long day on my own, but I can always talk to Pixel I suppose.šŸ™„

I’m looking forward to tonight’s viewing. Bill Nighy will be travelling down the Dordogne River. Might wave towards DD’s place if I can spot it. 😁

@Hostafan1. May be worth checkingr you with the local council that the registrar has infomed them as you will get a single person council tax reduction.Ā
I expect you already know that though.Ā

Good morning all 😊 ā˜•ļø Is hubby back yet @Pat E? Hope all has been straightforward … have your seen the programme on the Dordogne yet?
It was quite foggy early on … we were awake cos the binmen arrived on their first visit just after 6 … we were asked to put bins out early so they don’t have to work through the heat … also it can’t be very pleasant collecting the food waste bins if they’ve been standing out in the heat of the sun for several hours 🤢 They’ll be back for the normal waste a bit later … although there’s never much in that bin.Ā
Now we have wall to wall blue sky …

    Morning all,

Same sky here, d-fab. I'm off to sister's garden shortly - mowing the lawns before it gets too hot. Then youngest's to see if anything that I planted in the front garden has survived the last couple of months!

I received a phone call when they were leaving Canberra about an hour ago , Dove. Not here yet. I’ve made bolognaise for dinner with Turkey mice, etc. smells good.Ā

The Dordogne programme should start about 7.30, so another two hours or so yet. I’m looking forward to it.
