That's beautiful @Dovefromabove.  OH listened to - reminded him of wine groves in Italy - and the Godfather!  You probably see Wonky more often than I see my daughter - and she only lives three streets away.
Am naughtily watering the veg bed by strapping the hose trigger down, sneaking it under the netting and letting it play for a while before moving to another position.  Doing this while it is still in shade but will have to stop in a bit as that sun is beginning to get to it.

Apparently he wrote some of the music in The Godfather @didyw

Afternoon all. Instant drought here - suddenly heard strange gurgling sounds from our water pipe which was our water draining back down the hill. The road through the village is closed and we thought it was the highways mob coming back to put lines on the road after spraying gravel over it a couple of weeks ago. So it must be the water company digging up the newly surfaced road without warning any residents that they were about to cut us off >:) .

Oh 'eck @steephill ... hope you had a good wash this morning ... is the kettle full?  If not you'll just have to rely on the wine cellar for hydration !!!

Coffee machine gets topped up in the morning so we are OK for that. Beer and wine always present in the fridge too  :p   Luckily OH had just had a shower after tennis this morning and I now have the perfect excuse not to go out and get filthy in the garden.

Of course, you can always rinse your hair in beer ... it's very good for it ... apparently ... don't think you're supposed to drink the beer afterwareds, tho, but if needs must ... ?!

Oh @Hostafan1 this is a horrible time for you.  As others have said the first year is the worst and then eventually you start to think more about the good times than the bad.  Hugs.

Lost another 1.5lbs this week, have been sorting out clothes and finding things that I couldn't get into before losing 2.5 stones.  I have a pair of white jeans that I can't get in and that's my goal.

Popped to Ashwoods for a cuppa and a gossip with friend.  Not buying any plants at the moment as not sure I could keep them alive in this heat.
