@punkdoc ... make sure you stand with your back to the wind. All I said was 'Goodbye and thankyou' ... I think my two would've thought that was appropriate ... and quite enough

Good morning all! Very overcast and humid this morning. Not a breath of wind. We had a little respite yesterday afternoon when the wind changed and the sea breeze came up. It has blown in the humidity - but hey - it's summer!
@WonkyWomble Happy Anniversary to you both. I hope you can make it into a special day. @Busy-Lizzie Busy an active few days ahead of you. i hope you will enjoy your "crew". @punkdoc Lest is best, I suppose. I like @Dovefromabove 's little speech. It does say it all to our parents who sacrificed so much for us.
Walked the dog and then cycled to Aldi this morning - they have those water filter jugs on special - but - I got the day wrong, so will have to go back on Saturday!! I should learn to read the "whole" page. Still, I can always find something to buy!!
We’ve been watching Bill Nighy on the River Buche. I think I got that right. We were both enjoying it until there was an ad and we both woke up😳🤬. Both nodded off. I thought of you though Dove since I know your not far from there .
Happy anniversary Mr & Mrs @WonkyWomble! Glad you are enjoying your trip away @Dovefromabove I'm just back for a couple of hours being going back into town for the Black Shuck Festival. Part of it is writing our demons on a card which will then be symbolically burned (plans for actual burning scrapped with this oh so dry weather). I'm posting it here for @punkdoc to write down all his ill feeling against his ex-next door neighbour and then - let it go! (He is just living his life whilst you are still fuming).
Hello folks, sunny and warm again so no change then. Went into town again to change my trainers for next size up which apparently were not the same sale price but the kind chap did a straight swop as he said it saved him a lot of hazzle. I think I believe him. That was the second kind turn of the day, the first happened when I had to run for the bus which promptly stopped for me in between the bus stops - unheard of! I rather think he saw me swear over my shoulder when I saw it coming.
He's gone. I called at 6 and he was ok, but I asked if I should go and be with him. They said there had been no change since I'd left at lunchtime. They called at 8 to say his breathing had changed. I got in the car but he died minutes after she'd called. I really wanted to be there with him at the end.
Bless you @Hostafan1 ((huge hugs)). I’m sorry you weren’t with him, but I know he felt loved … you’ve been with him every day of this long sad goodbye.
Take special care of yourself … it’s what he would want … and you know where we are xxx

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Wonky Womble.
Glad you enjoyed your visit @Dovefromabove.
Hope the Bungay Festival goes well @didyw.
@Punkdoc, I noted this on a condolence card we sent recently, not sure if it would fit?

I rather liked it.
