Oh @Lizzie27 how lucky for you both. I'm glad for you but envious too. My OH was on the waiting list way before yours, also a private hospital paid for by the NHS.

We are indeed very lucky @Busy-Lizzie, I just can't understand what has gone wrong with your OH's op, it's inexcusable. Perhaps he could get transferred to Bath? He's legally entitled to that option.
It's like renewing your driving licence online, OH's sailed through within a week or so, I applied back in May and am still waiting! No rhyme or reason to it.
I remember seeing the original West Side Story when it first came out in the Sixties, just blew me away and I love Grease as well.

@Hostafan1, so sorry to read your news, obviously knew it was imminent, but the actuality is hard to deal with. No more pain for him, a relief of course, no more limbo time for you, all I can do is send big hugs.
A friend of mine also died yesterday, 1 day before his/their30th wedding anniversary, such a kind and lovely man, so desperately sad. Because of Covid and his vulnerability he has seen no-one for 2 and a half years, not sure about the quality of his last few years, Covid certainly made life choices difficult.
Full on at work, as ever feeling guilty about neglecting Charlie, but we're reading the same book and exchanging notes, briefly. He's counting his earnings, up to 1000€ now so happy. I feel for him though, we're doing over 200 meals a day and he's washing up an awful lot of those dishes.
Have loved reading back on all your exploits, so many posts... but Happy Belated Anniversary wishes to @WonkyWomble, feel your pain @punkdoc and frustration @Busy-Lizzie.
Must sleep now, busy again tomorrow, we're looking after a funeral party at 11:30 tomorrow, it won't help me thinking about those suffering the pain of loss. Life can be so cruel at times. Really big hugs to those suffering.

Did I say, I had a call from Dyno Plumbers … they’re coming to dig up the floor on Friday … I knew that’s when it would be … we had plans to visit @WonkyWomble … I have a jumper to give her and she has some plants for us, and anyway it’s a good while since we’ve seen each other … but hey ho, that’s the way things go … we’ve pencilled in a visit for next Friday 🤞
