Afternoon, it’s warm & breezy here (sorry LB) the wet things are out, been tidying round in the front garden time for a sit & a cuppa before carrying on in the back garden,
LB 😱 No treats?!! I hope you were able to obtain the other items you needed, Lily will be counting down the days 😾
SGL Those plants sound lovely and a nice linen top, glad you enjoyed your trip to the GC. Hope you have more success with the gazebo next time🀞
Hope it all works out for you Hazel.

Must find some motivation it’s too tempting to stay put, hope you are all enjoying the day.Β

Afternoon folks,Β  Spent some time in the garden this morning.Β  Managed to get some deadheading done and pulled out the peas which have gone over now.Β  The cucumbers have gone crazy and so have the french beans. Bestie popped round for a cuppa and went away with a cucumber, so did the the cleaner yesterday.Β Β
I managed to get a few bites yesterday from the garden so have been trying to cover up today.Β  Still feeling tired after my holiday with the boys.Β  One day we did 16,000 steps no wonder I'm still shattered.
Sorry you are leaving Hazel, I hope you will pop back in occasionally.

Afternoon all. OH is out there playing with the cherry picker and pressure washer while I run around plugging and unplugging things.

Feeling terribly guilty about using the water to clean the render but it is very dirty on 2 sides (next to trees) and we've had the job planned / booked for months - long before we knew there would be a water shortage. The bits we've done look as though they've been repainted and using the water must surely be better for the environment than using 20 - 25 litres of paint....

Hazel - thank you for letting us know you're leaving but I'm sad to see you go. You've been a jolly presence on the forum and we'll miss you. Hope you feel able to come back soon.

SGL - gotta love a linen top on a warm summer day...

Yvie - I'm not surprised you feel a bit weary. I'm not a walker at all and find being on my feet very tiring. One of the reason we have our bikes to get around.

Need to make more tea now. Think we've done half the house today so a really good start - but we'll both sleep well.

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Hello all.
Ooh SGL, you have had a good day at the GC haven't you. I love Gauras, they are so pretty and so tough. I love the airy feeling they give to a garden. White linen top - I think that the two words 'white linen' make you feel summery cool before even wearing it. I bet it's lovely.
Chive ssssshhhhhh! I had to type that in a whisper
Yvie, it is always lovely to be able to eat your own produce and even nicer when you can give some to friends. Snap on the bites! We must be tasty morsels!
T'Bird, well done to you and your OH for getting started on your job. It does sound as if you have made good inroads to the house cleaning. How about this for a bit of help?

Ha ha ha @steveTu - full of enthusiasm but a distinct lack of directional skills!

Have put plants in the front border, gave them both a good soaking first. Earth was rather dry, but after planting gave it another good soaking.Β  Had never seen the Lobelia Starship before, googled it when I got home and found out that slugs love it......oh gawd. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜« Have scattered some slug pellets around it and keeping everything crossed that the little horrors leave it alone.Β
Also took some cuttings from a almost dead looking Dianthus. Popped them in some rooting powder and then in a pot. Keeping 🀞 for that too.
It got rather hot this afternoon to have a fight with the Gazebo, so we'll either do a bit later or in the morning. But I've got a feeling we'll be sending it back.Β
Goodness @Topbird you and OH have been extremely busy. Think you deserve a couple of G&T πŸΈπŸΈπŸ˜‰

Love the little gif @Ladybird4 🀣🀣

...but was it a case of total lack of coordination and spacial awareness (as in my case!) or wistfulness (well, maybe a bit of that as well) to make sure they never asked you again?...

Haha @steveTu probably part a lack of coordination and just wanting to soak everything. I quite enjoyed doing it.....Still enjoy  hosing down the drive.     OH would probably say I'm not much better. 🀣🀣
