Forgot to mention - it's the 11th anniversary of our Blessing today. Didn't go to the Mairie, had a friend vicar instead do a ceremony in front of our families, in France.
The garden we saw belonged to an old manor house that had been renovated by an English couple. They had worked very hard on hard landscaping, terraces, steps, courtyard garden, but the main garden could have done with some more planting. Probably not finished yet and what they'd done was very good. The cakes were lovely, moist and flavoursome, had orange and almond, and chocolate brownie.

Biglad, I reckon that you and I are lucky to be the coolest people on here. Wonder if there is more in store for us over the next few days. One of my bird baths needed topping up today and the feeder was completely empty after just 2 days. The little feather dusters are eating me out of house and home.

SGL, my sweet peas are also absolutely awful this year. I blame the strange weather. Fingers crossed for better luck next year.

Just come in from sitting under the oak tree. We didn't realise the time. Not feeling particularly hungry, so we're having a salad of some sort. Couldn't bare having the oven on tonight 😤 that's my excuse anyway 😉😂 Might sit outside again later and make the most of these beautiful evenings. @Ladybird4 it's very strange about the year of the failed sweet peas 🕵️♂️😉 @Chivetalking glad your mum is feeling ok.
