Good morning LB, SGL and all to follow.

LB, I'll save some plants and will sow new round. It will come much later. I don't blame animals, it's a devastating drought and they don't have water and food.ย

Hope you all be able to sleep last night. Here is again very hot, so we will stay in.ย

Wish you all a nice Friday.

Good morning SGL. When I looked out of my bedroom window this morning there are lines of blue bins on both sides of the road. I think you are right about what may have been the non-pickup yesterday. I'll wait to see what happens today. Canasta is only twice a month - the second and fourth Fridays so it will be next month now.
I have a cuppa - half finished now so I'll join you in another.

Good Morning LB, SGL & Ante and all to follow, thank you all for my holiday wishes ๐Ÿค—
LB Sorry to hear that the bus strikes have thwarted your travels to Canasta group today, as you say it affects so many who need that service. Hope you find something nice to do with your day, with your change in plans,ย
SGL Thatโ€™s a hairstyle handy for cobwebs ๐Ÿ˜† Hope you have a lovely time with your friend at the GC, lots of nice treats might pop into your basket ๐Ÿชด
Ante So sorry to hear that the deer have destroyed some of your beetroot, your understanding of the animals need for food is to be commended. Enjoy the few days with your sister before she returns home,ย
Topbird Wonderful to be able to exchange messages and photos with relatives so far away, what a lovely way to spend your morning yesterday,ย
Busy I remember how much you enjoyed the meal before, it sounds like a very nice place to enjoy lunch in a nice setting,ย
Hazel Glad youโ€™re not thinking of digging out the grass yourselves, good to get someone in to do that for you and take the waste away,ย
Rubee Glad you got some of the plants cut back, better to do a bit at a time,ย
Hope you all have a good day.ย

Good morning SGL, Ante, Chive and Ruby.
Ante, it is such a shame for all wildlife when they cannot get the water and food they so desperately need and it is kind of you to think that way. Stay in and keep as cool as you can. I am sitting here watching the rain coming down which is good for my garden but has rather thwarted some of my alternative Canasta plans!
SGL, enjoy your trip to the GC to meet up with your friend. I hope cake and a cuppa will feature?
Ruby, once upon a time my hair did look like that

Sorry you aren't feeling well @Songbird-1. Have you tested for Covid? Hope it's just a cold.

I didn't get time to post this morning. I am baby sitting for Daughter 2 until tomorrow afternoon.

OH is setting up cameras in my house so we can look in when I'm away.ย  He wanted to go out this morning with me to buy another camera so it was a bit of a rush getting off in time. There is a burglar alarm that tells a comoany when the house is broken in to but we want to look at it as well.

Oh Hazel, I am sorry to hear that you are not feeliing too well. Perhaps you overdid things in the heat! I blame the hot metal thing! Have a good rest. If you are lucky you will be experiencing my cool temperatures today which should help you.
Busy, I have been making enquiries about a full house security system and someone is coming to suss it all out and give me a quote.

Afternoon everyone, we've had rain!!! YAY! A good steady gentle rain for about three and a half hours. The air smells wonderful and the flowers and shrubs looks very happy.
Had a lovely catch with my friend and yes @Ladybird4 tea and cake were involved ๐Ÿ˜‰
Looked for a barometer, but they were all very large and heavy looking.ย  Didn't buy anything.....well except for the cake ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฐ
Awwย  LB do you have a photo of you with that hairstyle.
@Songbird-1 sorry to hear you are feeling poorly today. Do hope you feel better soon. Hope its just a cold and nothing worse. Take care, hope to see you back on RES soon.ย
Hehe @Chivetalking would have to use a pogo stick to reach the cobwebs, I'm too short other wise.....could be dangerous ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ
