Busy I hope all goes well for Oh .Lily have a rest if you can .I am not doing any none essentials at the moment .
  • Somewhat cooler this morning and forecast rain.  Playing with my little furry man this morning, just about to give him his treats.  LB thrips not heard of it but will adopt.Lily it’s been very warm to do Pilates, hope oh is cool enough to do next week.  Hazel great that your son could help with the awning, sounds ideal.  Chive summer break just ahead of you, enjoy the days away.  Busy wishing oh a smooth journey back to Norfolk.  Top bird hope you have a good day whatever your plans.

    Afties all.
SGL, my hair is now neat and tamed and I no longer have the PTAHB look! I left yours with my hairdresser and it will be ready for pick up tomorrow! Hope the physio work was gentle for your OH today.
Busy, I really hope that this time your OH will get his op. It has been such a long wait.
Ruby, I hope that you managed to get all of your cutting back done. When I arrived home my green bin had been emptied but not my blue (paper and card) bin. Not sure whats happened but I will leave it out until tomorrow. I had heard on the news that refuse collectors - not happy with their lot - might be taking strike action.
Hazel, it does make sense to reduce garden work by removing some of the lawn if you are finding it a little too much.
Chive, have you been kicking back and relaxing this afternoon?
Rosie, Lily insists on keeping me company by sitting on me - most inconvenient when I have to keep getting up and doing stuff. She doesn't seem to mind all of the disturbance.
BTW Busy don't think you have escaped Col TT's eyes:

LB, if Colonel TT objects to the hot flat thing I was only responding to others who also mentioned it. Not a chore for me as I like it so not Hate Work. If he objected to hanging out washing that is done outside so is not HW. I think it's time he went to the pub for a nice cool beer
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Afternoon everyone, Hooray no more school for a while 😁
LB Glad you feel better for a nice neat trim. Hopefully your blue bin will be collected tomorrow instead, if something isn’t collected it’s always a bit of a dilemma whether to leave it outside or not 🤔
SGL Pleased you had a better nights sleep, hope found a nice cool spot to enjoy a relaxing afternoon,
Rubee Hope you got the overgrown bits cut back in your garden today, not overdoing things yourself too much though,
Busy Hope all goes well with OHs journey home next week and the consultation with the surgeon. Hope you enjoy your lunch by the river is that the same one you went to before to try it out? 😊
Hazel Glad you had a better nights sleep too, cutting the lawn back to a more manageable size sounds a good idea. Even before social distancing I disliked people crowding me in a queue, I would have felt just the same in your situation today 😕
Rosie I bet Alfie enjoyed having a game with you this morning followed by some treats lucky lad 😽
Needed to renew the security on our laptop plus on other devices it’s installed on, so many updates 😵‍💫
Hope you have a nice evening everyone.

It seems a bit cooler this evening, Sky a bit cloudy and we're forecast rain for tonight and all of tomorrow. Garden will be very pleased.
OH Got on quite well at physio, some exercises were tougher than others. He was rather tired by the time we got home. It was rather hot thus morning too.
Aww thank you @Ladybird4 I'll look forward to my new look tomorrow 😉👩‍🦱    glad you're pleased with your new haircut. I must admit this morning I looked like I'd been PTAHB too 😊 Hope the blue bin gets collected soon. Perhaps it was missed by mistake, or have everyone's been left not being emptied?
@Songbird-1 sorry if I upset you about paving slabs. Must admit I like the sound when you walk across the gravel. Great for knowing when someone is approaching your home too.

Chive I got quite a bit cut back in the garden .
On Calendar news at 6pm today one of the presenters was interviewing a man at the police 999 call centre . They are having problems with calls that are not emergencies. One chap rang 999 to report that a chicken was outside their door and every time the family tried to leave the house it attacked them . At first I thought it was a wind up but apparently not . I ask you how  ridiculous .I know chickens can be bad tempered but if the sill y man couldn’t pick up a sweeping brush and gently push it out of the way he deserves to be kept in the house .
Lily I am so pleased that your OH got on well with his physio. He will need a rest this evening .

Hazel I think it’s a good idea to take part of your lawn up . I took all of our lawn up several  years ago . It will cut down on you work in the garden . With membrane and gravel or cobbles  you will have less weeds . I do have a few coming through occasionally but they are easily removed . I removed all the grass myself and put down membrane but I was much much younger than 27  . I wouldn’t have the energy now .
