How can it be a hangover after only 2 glasses @Lizzie27? Last time I had a hangover, years ago I'd had at least 5 glasses.

I'm knackered now after all that sawing and clearing of branches. Logs have come, I start stacking tomorrow. Did the SM shop too.

I’ve just seen the name of one of the towns  for a change - Bergerec.   Those of you who know France will know where they are.
I live about an hour from Bergerac, north of there. A lot of wine is made in that area and when I drive there I go through the main strawberry growing area of France.

We are in wine country @Busy-Lizzie  People drink more wine than top shelf stuff like gin and whisky.  I notice if I have a coffee in the promenade at 10am, that people are probably sipping their second rosé!!  - and not in an alcoholic way - more as part of their custom.  Not for me but a glass of chilled white in the evening followed by red with the evening meal and good cheese and crusty bread.......allez un autre!!!  Juste un petit tou!!  Bonne soirée!

Evening all,  we went to Cottesbrooke Hall and gardens today. It's in Northampton,  straight up the M1 for us. It's an RHS  partner garden so I got in for free.
Lovely gardens well worth a visit,  we were early for a change (doesn't open till 2pm) so we diverted and had lunch in a pub in a nearby village.  It was very good value, they did a 2 course special for seniors at £7.50 each. Not big portions of course but plenty for a lunch. I had Hunters chicken OH had Scampi.

    Good morning all 😊 ☕️
Blue sky, sunshine and 17C here … lovely visit yesterday afternoon from niece and friend … then two more friends turned up and plans for the evening were formulated … niece left her car here as parking at her friends’ student house is limited … and they all went out for the evening … although I don’t suppose they actually ‘went out’ until after OH and I were sound asleep 😂
OH and I have plans to go to the Sainsbury Centre today as there’s an exhibition we want to see … depending on timings niece will either join us there for coffee or pick up her car from here and head straight back to Portsmouth as she is working this evening. So, as you see … all slightly hectic!!!
I definitely need another coffee ☕️

    Morning all.

It has rained - a tiny bit.

I will make a start on stacking the logs but I had a disturbed night thanks to a mozzie in my bedroom.

I hope you enjoy the exhibition @Dovefromabove.

Morning 👋🏻  Enjoy the Sainsbury Centre @Dovefromabove 🎨

Volunteering at West Dean yesterday.  The dry meadow, planted this spring with perennials, mulched with rubble from the building trade, and not watered at all apart from our very scant rainfall this year, is looking pretty amazing 🤩

    Hi all

That does look good @chicky, reminds me of the dry garden at Beth Chatto's
