Happy Birthday @Lizzie27. Volunteer day today, very busy with visitors. We had the sprinkler going all day, so worked round other areas. They have their own borehole and water pumped to a huge static tower, but even in normal times they have to restrict how many lines are running at once. Apparently it all stopped for a while last week as the pumps couldn't refill the tank fast enough. Some areas remain un irrigated and you can see some trees and shrubs suffering. One Horse Chestnut near the car park is dropping conkers already and they are 1/2 normal size.
Happy Birthday, Lizzie27! I tried on some of my fancy heeled shoes in anticipation of a recent wedding. Not a chance! My feet seem to have spread sideways during lockdown, and the heels I used to be able to wear seemed positively vertiginous! I’ve sadly packed up a couple of pairs to go the charity shop for someone younger and fitter, or more reckless, to enjoy.
@Ergates, hopefully it will recover and/or someone will take care of it. Fingers crossed.
Sitting on back terrace, lots of shrubs, can hear wildlife, maybe hedgehog... lovely, frustrated at gnat bites though!
Incredibly busy at work, so many people, mostly Dutch, they just keep coming, all day, a little bit scary, but I have a good team. We had a group of 15 today for Afternoon Tea, all Dutch, I made orange cupcakes for them, not sure they got it... but they had a lovely time. all the ladies wore beautiful dresses and hats.
Anyway, gnats are winning, so I am going indoors.
Will post pics Friday of Jerk Chicken.
My view tonight, with lovely hedgehogs and horrible gnats.

@AuntyRach, last one is Narcissus, can't help on the others.
edit to add - feel like don't play it should be an anagram -- platycodon or something like that , except not quite right
and happy birthday @Lizzie27
