    Morning everyone,
I typed a long post last night, which isn't there, I must have forgotten to press post 🤦‍♀️
We have a big round yellow thing in the sky this morning. It looks beautiful outside this morning. Hope it arrives where you are @Ladybird4 Enjoy watching the tennis today.
@Songbird-1 so sorry the carpet Dr couldn't remove the paint from the carpet. But if it's gloss....as others have mentioned, it's rather impossible.  Aww, bless 23,  good luck with the hunt for a cuddly chicken 🐔
@wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 sorry to hear you've had a migraine the last few days, do hope you're feeling better this morning. Take care Rosie.
I slept really well last night, but still feel a bit tired. Few indoor jobs to do and then I might sit in the garden this afternoon.
    Have a lovely day everyone.

Good morning Busy, Ruby and SGL.
Phew Hazel, I bet that is a relief to all! A toy chicken will be so much easioer to look after.
Must just share a nice surprise I had yesterday. 3 years ago a got a titchy cutting of a Hoya off that famous auction site. I popped it into a plastic bag with some wet perlite and eventually some little roots appeared. I potted it on carefully following tips on t'internet as I had no experience of this plant. Yesterday I was aware that there was a beautiful scent in my bedroom and I narrowed a search down to where my Hoya has been happily living all this time. I found several of these:
I am a happy bunny! It has been well worth the wait.

Morning all. Early start for us. You remember that (due to holiday time pressures) OH had to DIY the rear window replacement on his camper van? Well - when he washed it he discovered that it leaks😬. Just a bit - but it's not good.

We decided the best bet was to take it to a professional with all the right tools etc and get them to reinstall the glass. He's taken it down to Ipswich for opening time at 8am. Should be about £50 so not too bad.

We're taking the van up to the N Norfolk coast tomorrow for a couple of days away. Temps there are forecast to be in the low 20's - much nicer than the 28 - 32C we're likely to get at home.

Hoping to collect some crab and other stuff tomorrow morning to make a seafood platter for Sat night and then on Sunday we're booked into the No 1 restaurant in Cromer ( @Dovefromabove knows it) for f&c or some other fishy treat.

Planning to visit Felbrigg Hall and Sandringham House. Taking the bikes and everything is within 3 or 4 miles of the 2 campsites we're staying at so no need to get caught up in traffic queues etc

This is probably our last hurrah before the schools break up and everywhere becomes impossibly busy.

@Songbird-1 Hazel - I agree with the others that if the paint is a major spill and has soaked into the carpet and dried then it's not worth spending time and money trying to get it out. If, however, it's just a couple of drips or dribbles you might be able to do it (nothing to lose is there?).

Using a blunt table knife you might be able to scrape a lot of the dried paint out of the fibres. I've even been known to give the fibres a light shave with a scalpel. Then careful light use of white spirit and soap and water. If it's white paint on a dark carpet (or vice versa) nothing will work but on a light carpet there's half a chance...

Morning T'Bird. It will be good to get your window made watertight and that expected cost doesn't sound too bad. I've been to Cromer a few times when we holidayed in Sheringham and whilst not going to the No. 1 restaurant we did indulge in the absolute joy of the most delicious f&c to eat on the hoof. You have made my mouth water! I am still working on my cholesterol and sugar levels so am being boringly 'good'. I've lost almost half a stone already.
BTW T'Bird, I heard from a Doc on TV that eating local honey to try to ease the symptoms of hay fever is an urban myth! 'Sigh!' Back to the drawing board! Apparently vaseline smeared round the nasal cavities does work as does drying your clothes indoors.

Gorgeous flower LB. I saw that TV doctor too. I still prefer to dry the washing outside. I take one a day for hay fever from Boots or Morrisons.

Gosh you do get about @Topbird! But I can't talk, because so did we before OH needed his hip replacement. I hope you have good weather and a lovely time.

BL - Having spent the first 30 years of my life living less than a mile from the sea I still miss the freshness of the air and have never been able to adapt to the high inland summer temperatures. Looking forward to sea breezes over the next few days.

On the other hand, I don't miss sea frets in the summer, salt erosion on my car and I definitely don't miss the seagulls when I've just put a line of washing out💩. Swings and roundabouts....
