@Ladybird4 Aww, it was very special ๐Ÿ˜
@Ante1 I agree with LBย  ย think about meeting your old friends tonight, you can always leave early if you want to.ย
I'd love a cup of tea too. Then I must pop to the SM for a few essentials, don't need a full shop this week.ย

Good Morning Rosie, Ante, Rubee, LB, SGL & Hazel and all to follow,

    ๐ŸŽ‰ Happy Birthday to Rubeeโ€™s OH ๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‚

Rosie I hope you slept well, Nel has cosily curled up next to me and itโ€™s not making me to want to move ๐Ÿ˜Š
Ante We count the days when there is a inset day, itโ€™s an extra day off for us as we are not required to go in to school ๐Ÿ˜ Hope you can decide what to do today, shame it was such short notice,ย
Rubee Lovely gifts for your OH, he will have lots of fun with the new TV when it arrives I hope he enjoys his birthday ๐Ÿฅณย
LB Hope you have a break in the weather today to maybe spend sometime in the garden, or at leastย have the choice ๐Ÿ˜Š
SGL What a lovely day you had yesterday at your eldest sons, your granddaughters greeting when she saw you was pure joy ๐Ÿค—ย
Hazel Hope you get all you need at the DIY store and the weather doesnโ€™t stop your plans today,ย
Busy Enjoy watching your grandson at the tennis match, good luck to Henry ๐Ÿคž
We are replacing a door handle on mums wooden conservatory,ย the external door can be hard to pull shut and yesterday it just broke in my hand ๐Ÿคฆ๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ luckily we have one just the same at home itโ€™s an easy fix.ย

Morning all - bright and breezy here today.

A very Happy Birthday to Mr Rubee ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰ Gotta love a new gadget - hope he enjoys setting it up.

BL - have a good day watching the tennis. Will you be running on with the Robinsons Barley Water?

Chive - "It just came off in me hand mum...." ๐Ÿคญ

Driving up to Milton Keynes later today to join OH at a kart circuit for the night so I can get to Bletchley Park early tomorrow. I have an annual pass which expires soon & want to go to see the new exhibition which opened a few weeks ago. Unfortunately it's also the weekend of the British GP at Silverstone so I need to time it right to not get caught up in all that traffic.

It's always an early and noisy start at a kart circuit so it will be kill or cure for the jet lag tomorrow. My ideal sleeping time ATM is still about 2.30am to 10am.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Afternoon everyone, sunny but a bit breezy here too @Songbird-1
Hope Cherie settles into her 'new bed' and Nelly likes hers too.ย  Have you got any cream for your itchy arms Hazel.
It certainly was a lovely greeting from Poppet 1 yesterday Hazel and Chive, ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
Oops @Chivetalking ๐Ÿคญย  hope the handle from home does the job to replace on your mum's conservatory door.ย
Got the few essentials needed in SM this morning, managed to whop round quite quicklyย  considering they'd moved some of the Isles around.....so annoying ๐Ÿคฃ and it was getting quite busy by the time I was leaving. Don't think I've been in there with so many people for ages.ย
Wet clothย  things have just come in off the line and now having a cup of tea.
Hope Mr @Rubee is enjoying his new toy and having a lovely birthday ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰
@Topbird have a lovely day tomorrow at Bletchley. Hope you're feeling much better now.

Evening everyone, mums new handle works a treat ๐Ÿ˜…
Hazel Iโ€™m pleased to hear Iโ€™m not the only one who that has happened to, luckily mum was only too pleased to have a nice new shiny one installed ๐Ÿ˜€ Fingers crossed that both Clemmies will settle happily into their new homes, I hope OH has managed to work out all the calculations now ๐Ÿค” Hope son & family all have a safe journey home tomorrow,ย
Topbird ๐Ÿ˜‚ it did honest ๐Ÿ˜‡ Have a lovely time at Bletchley tomorrow and meeting up with OH tonight go karting, hope youโ€™ve missed the worst of the traffic ๐Ÿคž
SGL How annoying when they move products about in the SM, glad you got what you needed before it became too busy in there. Been a perfect day for drying wet things ๐Ÿงบ
I took the plunge this afternoon and cut back all of the climbing Jasmine, nearly filled the green bin, but there were some new Whippy growths towards the base so Iโ€™ve started to train them onto the arch. Iโ€™m encouraged from your comments before that this will be quick to respond๐Ÿคžย
Must clean up ready for some tea, hope you have a nice evening everyone.ย

    Afternoon all.

I came home half an hour ago from cottage. Thank you for your advice which I'll take, and go to dinner. I'm pretty much tired, but few hours will not kill me. Hope there is fish or squid on menu in that restaurant.ย
I wasn't to careful today, and forgot to apply sunscreen on my forehead, so it's slightly burned now. Thankfully, I have another cream just for that.

    Happy birthday to Mr Rubeeย

Thank you all for your good wishes for Henry. I hadn't realised Edward was playing too.

My grandsons' tennis tournament turned out to be a nearly all day thing. Son said it was just the morning, but lunch was provided for a small sum and was the usual French thing from 12 to 2pm. Henry was 2nd and Edward was 4th. It's been hot, 28ยฐ this afternoon, no shade to sit in by the courts. Edward, 8yrs, gave up, he should have been in the semi final, but he cried and said he didn't feel well, that's why he was 4th. Henry, 7yrs last week, reached the final which was a close thing. They only play 3 games to a set at that age. He had beaten that boy twice before but he said he was hot and tired. They'd both had 2 late nights with the younger children's school performance on Thursday and Edward's school play last night.

On the way home I dropped in at a big GC and bought some more plants for my Jewel bed and a pot of basil.

Good afternoon all. Well it turned out nice today after all the rain in the night. I had a session of tidying up and spotted lots of flowers looking better for the rain. I did take pictures but for some odd reason I cannot get the OneDrive on my phone to sync with the OneDrive on my laptop so cannot post them at the moment. Another headache for me to sort out where technology is concerned.
Chive, you don't know your own strength! Great that you had a replacement though!
Hazel I hope that the family have a safe journey home. That is a bit of a nightmare time to arrive though. There will be lots of sleepy heads on Monday. Fingers crossed that Nelly settles in well for you.
T'Bird, I hope you had a safe and peaceful drive to MK today to join your OH and that you have another fascinating trip to Bletchley tomorrow.
SGL, it annoys me intensely too when I find that the aisles have all been switched around. You go to one expecting one thing only to find its been shifted two aisles further along.I'm always quite impressed that the store staff seem to know exactly where anything is - even after a shift round.
Ante, I am sure that you have made the right decision about going out tonight - it is always nice to have a catch up with old friends - especially when you don't see them all that often. Tut tut though Ante, you need to be very careful about wearing sunscreen when you are working outside for such long hours. I hope that the sunburn is soothed by the cream you have. Enjoy yourself tonight!
Busy, you had your own little Wimbledon today and two young people taking part. With those temperatures and the latish nights I am not surprised that Henry and Edward were wilting but they still did very well and you must be so very proud of them.
