Good Morning Debs, SGL & LB and all to follow, Debs Hope work goes well today, great to hear that Graham is enjoying being outdoors I think we can all relate to that feeling 😊 SGL Sorry to hear you’ve been awake so early, having your haircut today will be nice and maybe get a treat in the SM after 🍫 LB Hope all goes well at the food bank today, glad the beef & ale casserole was as tasty as it sounded 😋 Rubee I hope all is well with OH and the procedure helped to relieve some of the discomfort yesterday, Rosie I hope you are feeling better, enjoy a pyjama day today, Hazel I hope you & OH are feeling rested now after taking things a bit more easy for a few days, Have a good day everyone.
Good morning everyone .I was too tired to post last night .OHs treatment went very well .Perhaps some of you have seen this procedure before. Think of W and G and The Wrong Trousers. The device was pumped full of air then allowed to deflate a little then inflated more .The procedure went on for about an hour .OH says that it seems to have helped .He should see a difference for a while . Coming home was a nightmare. Some buses didn’t turn up . We ended up having to wait around for quite some time .Then we had to get two buses instead of the usual one which drops us off outside our home. No taxis were available for at least an hour . Debs it’s good to read that Graham is doing well. I hope your day at work is good.Lily sorry to read you had such a disturbed night .Try to rest at some point during the day .LB I hope you get some rest this afternoon .That is a long time to be awake .Time for a cuppa .
Good morning everyone. Lily and Hazel you were both early birds. Hope you sleep well tonight. Chive it’s bright sunshine here so hopefully some warmer days ahead. LB hope all goes well at the food bank. Rosie.
I enjoyed yesterday's ladies lunch with friends from our old village. We had Coronation Chicken and salad followed by a strawberry gateau and a pecan nut and cream meringue. The men came back from their pub lunch and I was invited back with OH and another husband to M's house where we had large tumblers of whisky. OH had to have a small one as he was driving home.
Tomorrow we are going to visit a walled garden in North Norfolk.
OH has had a letter to say his hip replacement will be on the 24th August with a pre-op assessment on the 4th in the small private hospital. I think we will go back to France together on the 20th June, driving, ferry. Then OH will take a plane back, as they do wheelchair assistance, in time for his assessment and I'll fly back for his op. He has found that Saga will insure me to drive his car. Expensive but less than others. I've driven over alone twice now for the op that never happened. I hate the long drive on my own.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Good afternoon everyone. Just ask who was the twonk who went out without a coat and umbrella to the Foodbank this morning only to find out it was hissing down as I headed back to my car! I did take a couple of pictures of the post box near the FB.
It brought a smile to my face even though it was raining when I took the pictures.
Debs, I love Graham Towers. He has a lovely area to trundle around in.
Chive I hope you have had a happy time with the small people today.
Ruby, I had something like those 'Wrong Trousers' on when I had my operation. It was to keep my circulation going. I am glad your OH has noticed an improvement. Will he have more treatment like that?
Hazel, I love your colour scheme - be it planned or not. Those colours work well together.
Busy, GREAT news about your OH's op. That is a good date too - it was my Dad's birthday. Lovely that you can go to France together. You will be able to show off all your hard work to him. What yummy food you had to eat too.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Evening everyone. The sun lasted for a few hours and then turned chilly again. But at least it hasn't rained.........yet. @Busy-Lizzie that's great news about your OH operation date. And how lovely you can spend some time together in France before hand. Lovely photos @Ladybird4 aren't some people talented. Love the little hat's.
I'm again online. Yesterday evening we had a huge thunderstorm and my router was fried (luckily only one thing). There was so many damage in town, so man with new one came an hour ago and installed it. Now is only raining. Tomorrow must go to shopping and later to cottage. I'm going to make my tea, take a piece of lovely jam cake and read back.
