Hi everyone,  all went well with OH appointment  and everything is ok.  He can now have appointments every 6 months. Thank you for all your good wishes.

@Ladybird4 good to hear Just Joey has survived the move and is growing well. Glad handy brother loved all your plants. Hope they are now in their new 'bed' and grow well too.
My peonies have been beautiful this year, although did get battered by the rain the other day.
@Topbird oh heck, what rotten luck with the new windscreen. Hope all is ok now.
@Songbird-1 oh bless 23 so sweet.🐑  You can tease him about that when he's older.  😉
I was going to mention grinding the root out too.
@wfnp5bk4spsSNFYKh1 hope you're feeling much better today.
@Biglad 6'2" ......oops I forgot the 'bit'  .......very handy for  high shelves and painting ceilings 😉

Oh heck minds gone blank, sorry if I've missed anyone.

    Bit chilly this evening.
Thank you @Songbird-1 it is a relief to know all is still OK.
You'll be glad of son's help at the weekend. Hope the roots don't put up too much of a fight!

T'Bird, that is the Just Joey rose that lived in my Mum's garden until she moved into care when it then went to handy brother's garden in his old house and is now planted in his new garden. It must be well over 15 years old now. Hope that the glass is now sorted. BTW that description of your niece and her husband is very similar to the size difference between my youngest sister and her husband.
SGL, that is marvellous news So pleased for you both.
Biglad, speaking for myself, I don't mind hearing about your jobs and then being able to put smug face on and thank God I'm retired! Sorry!
Rosie, I'm glad to hear that you are properly recovered now and that Alfie is keeping you company.
Finale of Silent Witness tonight so I'm signing out now. I'll see you all in the morning.

Hope you decorate your new van like this T'Bird. Hazel could help you with the paint job!

    Hi folks,
Good news SGL.  Glad you have got the windscreen sorted Topbird.
I have no problems with the top shelf either Biglad.  I'm 5ft 8in.
Got a bit more done in the garden today.  Tied in the Claire Austin roses, it was beginning to get a bit difficult to walk through the arch.  Managed to get the lawns cut too and a bit of deadheading. Wont get anything done tomorrow, out with Bestie in the morning and then the boys in the afternoon.

Evening All, felt so pooped I had a sofa snooze after dinner 😴
LB I’m glad you had a nice time at handy brothers and saw the Just Joey rose in bloom, your slow cooked beef & ale sounds good I like the idea of using celery & peppers,
Topbird What a palaver with the van window, fingers crossed that it is firmly sealed now 🤞No more days off school until the summer holidays, but it was a nice break,
Rosie I’m pleased to hear Alfie is eating well and content in himself, glad you are feeling better for a sleep this afternoon. Nel is taking things easy 😽
SGL So pleased that OH got on ok today with his appointment and can now go every 6 months, that is reassuring for you hope you sleep better tonight 😊
Biglad It’s not boring to hear of your work, but it does sound hard going. Glad you are almost at the finish line 😅
Hazel That’s so good of your son to help with the stump removal, it will be cause for a celebration when it’s finally out 🍻
Have a nice evening everyone, I’m signing out Goodnight All.

Lily so pleased the appmt went well and oh can have an appmt every six months.  Hope you both sleep well tonight.  Hazel it will be a real help having your son arrive to help with the stump.  Do stretch out after your recent endeavours.  Top bird hope the glass is now in place and you and oh can rest now it’s fitted.  Chive you’ll have enjoyed your snooze on the sofa.  It will have done you good.  Glad you enjoyed your break.  It’s been a historical weekend.  LB it’s lovely to think Just Joey was in your mums garden and now with your brother in his garden.  Goodnight everyone, sleep well.  Rubee hope appmt goes well with oh tomorrow.  Sweet dreams.  Rosie.

Good news for you and your OH SGL. Onwards and upwards🙂

Hazel - the beast does sound like a beast!

LB - I didn't realise the rose had such sentimental attachments for you and your brother - I'm glad it's doing so well.

Big Lad - I enjoy hearing about your work but I'm also glad I don't have to work the weird & wonderful hours you do. I can't really cope with disturbed sleep patterns.

Hazel - your story about 23 reminded me that in my family we refer to sheep as mushrooms. When he was very small my brother pointed to some sheep on a distant hillside and declared 'Big 'shrooms'. Clearly no sense of perspective!!

Good morning all. Back to work today after my lovely long weekend of 6 days!
Busy day in the garden yesterday and then sister and friend for tea we sat in the garden chatting until 10pm.
Hoping everything has calmed down at work after the bank holiday busyness.
