    Morning all.

We enjoyed the concert too. We have catch up TV and watched it on iPlayer. As we started a bit late we just fast forwarded the bits we didn't like. OH has had a crush on Diana Ross for years! She looks amazing for her age, 78.

We decided not to go to the village BBQ.

I must drag myself out of bed and make a picnic lunch for the after church service picnic today. Looks as though it will be in the church as it has rained and is very grey outside.

Good Morning LB, Debs, SGL, Rubee & Busy and all to follow. We had a lovely afternoon yesterday, the sun came out lots of neighbours joined in, it was a nice way to celebrate,
LB I’m sure your Jubilee buns will go down well today, I hope Sis-in-law was able to come home yesterday,
Debs I’m glad the wedding went well, it sounds like a lovely event. Enjoy your day of entertaining today,
SGL Sorry to hear it’s another wet start for you, sounds like an ideal opportunity to enjoy watching the jubilee celebrations,
Hazel Your plans for Monday with 23 & his sister sound excellent, lots to see & do 👍 Good luck with removing that stump it looks reluctant to leave, i hope neither of you do yourself a mischief getting it out,
Rubee I’m pleased to hear that the pain killers are beginning to help, I hope you are both getting more rest at night.
A little Hello 👋😊 to Bluebells & Alfie,
Yvie Nice to see you are home and all went ok, hope you see some better weather soon to get out in the garden,
Busy I’m glad you enjoyed the church tea party yesterday it sounded like there were lots of tasty treats on offer, enjoy your picnic after the church service today,
Ante I hope you can have a rest today it sounds like you were working out in very hot temperatures yesterday, it was lovely to see your friends and have them visit, but also nice now to have your own routine back,
Biglad What wonderful photos, glad you got to enjoy the celebrations,
It rained overnight and there is more forecast for this afternoon, so it looks like an indoor day for us.
Hope you have a good day everyone.

Hello everyone. Been very busy last few days getting 'stuff' and paperwork ready for our trip.

Also been doing a massive cut back in the garden. Always have to do that at the end of June / beginning of July and then have a few weeks of empty spaces while stuff is regrowing. Figured there might as well be empty spaces while we're away and, hopefully, some of the plants will give us a second flush of blooms because they've been cut early.

Such a shame cutting down aquilegia, geraniums, brunnera etc etc while they're still flowering their socks off but needs must. I'll be cutting off all the rose buds on Tuesday😫. OH cut the small hawthorn hedge for me yesterday. He disturbed some wasps and was stung very close to his eye - ouch. I've got him on antihistamine tablets and I'm watching it closely in case he needs medical intervention. Looks like he's done 10 rounds with Henry Cooper.

It's wet through here after some very heavy rain last night so, instead of cutting the grass, we may head off and enjoy a lunchtime pint and some live music which is all part of the village Jubilee picnic. We always have rubbish weather for their events - today is no exception.

Enjoyed most of the concert last night. The Queen & Paddington was entertaining (bet little Louis liked that) and Queen Queen were very good - best act of the night IMO - although I also very much enjoyed the routine by Diversity and the 5 musical segue.

LB - hope your Sis-in Law is doing ok and good to hear Rubee's OH may be getting a some relief from the painkillers.

Sounds like several of you are fairly busy. Think I may do a few unmentionables this afternoon...

    Afternoon all,

The smart fella next to the train definitely isn't me! I was going for a 'veritable scruff' look yesterday. He was just a chap who seemed thoroughly delighted to pose for photos so I thought I'd join the paparazzi ;)

It's got Winkleman today. Chillier and damp, which is timed well after 3 decent days for the majority of celebrations around here. I suspect many of the local population are in various states of 'fragile' so the weather is of no matter as they hunker down in recovery mode ;)

I'm working on and off today - plenty to do 24-7 really. Eating away at it bit by bit is my current line of attack. Not long until it all goes away and I can get on with the summer :)

@Songbird-1 - I think that might be a Cucumber Green Orb Spider. Widespread in the UK.

Hi folks, Cold and wet here, definitely not gardening weather.  Had to deal with a small invasion of ants in the conservatory, think they were coming in from the well. Popped to Bestie's for a cuppa and that's about it.  So far I've managed to avoid most of the Jubilee stuff, not my cup of tea at all.  Hope the weather cheers up soon I've got so many plants to get out in the garden.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend folks.

Good afternoon all. I went visiting today. Sis-in-law is still in hospital. She has had to have another unit of blood. Hopefully she isn't in much longer. All my cupcakes got eaten! I suppose that is good though. No temptations around.
Chive, you were so lucky with your day weren't you? Glad that you had a nice time.
Hazel, it was a sensible move to leave working on the stump for today.
T'Bird I thought the set by Diversity was stunning too - I especially enjoyed their take on the Abbey Road cover. That was so clever.
Biglad, like Hazel's 'Beast', your job will slowly ebb away. Roll on the freedom!

Sorry to hear your SIL has to stay in hospital a while longer LB. Fingers crossed she's out soon. Glad the buns were a hit. We enjoyed a pint at the village hall and brought home our free slices of Jubilee cake.

Biglad - I didn't think that picture looked like you. 😉

Am I the only one who has a mental picture of what everybody on this thread looks like? A bit like I know what everybody in The Archers should look like. Often comes as a bit of a shock when you see a photo of the actor. The chap who plays Brian Aldridge doesn't look like Brian Aldridge at all...🤭

It is drizzling really hard now and everything has stayed wet all day. Grass cutting definitely on hold.

At least you know what Dove and I look like @Topbird.   :)

I have enjoyed the Jubilee, TV coverage, the bunting and flags and the Tea Party yesterday. The Pageant today was amazing.

    🤣😁 @Songbird-1 🤣😁

Very short, rather dumpy and blonde hair. But it is short - you got that bit right!!!

You're slim, medium height with dark curly hair - is that right?

@Busy-Lizzie - I've been lucky enough to meet you and quite a few other members of the forum. It's always a pleasure and even if you don't all look as I imagine you, your personalities are all very much as they come across on the forum. All lovely people🙂
