Gosh what a day you had @Yviestevie. Shame about the meal. I hope you slept well.
That ia a beautiful orchid @Biglad. My children gave me a huge deep pink one for Mothers Day years ago. It always seemed to be in flower. I did keep it in the outer china pot that came with it because the clear plastic pot was too lightweight and it fell over without the outer pot. I watered it by filling the outer pot, leaving it for 30 minutes, then emptying the outer pot. I only watered it every 7 to 10 days as I read not to water too often.
When I moved house in France the awful French removal men left it outside in January -7C and it died. They weren't supposed to take my indoor plants, but I was at the Notaire's.
We are going to the monthly farmers market in the village hall.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Morning everyone. Lily woke around am but managed to get back t sleep unti 5am. LB I’m sure your flowering orchids look lovely in your bathroom. Hazel it was good you could drop off the baby blankets. Chive I hope the appmt for mum will be positive. Love the bee pictured in the bee house. Good to see it’s a home to them. Busy enjoy the farmers market.
Good morning everyone . LB pity about the Leylandii. They are ok in big gardens but can be a nuisance in small gardens .Hope you get to play in the garden today Lily .Busy enjoy the farmers market . In Leeds FM sell wonderful bread and cheese . Rosie I am pleased that you got back to sleep .Have a lovely day everyone .
Sun is shining but it is not exactly warm yet. My sweet peas are really slow too SGL. I had a quick look yesterday morning and they look pathetic. Sadly I had to do a bit of a rescue job too, the strong winds had badly bent two of the long, arching stems on one of my rambling roses - loaded with flower buds as well - and the stems were thrashing about in the winds and shredding the plants underneath. It is a very thorny rose. It snagged me a few times as I cut it down and chopped it into smaller pieces for my green bin. Such a shame I've lost all of those flowers.
Busy, enjoy the farmer's market. Bet you buy a cake!
RosieBB, my bathroom orchids are in flower now and look lovely. I think they like the humid condition in there.
Ruby, I am looking foward to a gardening day today
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable

Thanks for all the orchid advice. "bomb-proof" @Ladybird4? We'll see about that There are only the 2 plastic clips. Anything else is a trick of the camera
Lovely day here but I've got several hours of work to do over the weekend before I'm clear to start again on Monday
Afternoon everyone, Think I've finally finished packing. Just the garden to water and I'll do that later tonight. Hubby has talked me into taking our case over early to the airport to cut down the queuing tomorrow. I would rather not bother but since his stroke he has been fixating on things and he said he would go on the train if I didn't drive over. Doubt I'll post again before I go so hugs to everyone that needs them and stay safe.
Yvie have a lovey holiday and good journey. I’ve given my hair a good trim, might have got carried away, watching the rugby, sorry LB, league not union . Chive hope you’ve come in for a cuppa.
Safer to bet that I bought a plant! I'm a plantaholic. The plant lady had Salvia Pink Amistad, which they were talking about at the Chelsea Flower Show. I couldn't resist it but I don't know where to plant it, it will have to be squeezed in somewhere.
I didn't buy cake but I bought a slice of Tiffin.
