Good morning Chive, Busy and Ante.
Chive, Chey is doing really well. I can't remember if I mentioned before but he now has two cats. Loko is the latest and  think there is a bit of armed neutrality with Luco at the moment. The roof is fixed - properly - and the decorating has been done. A bit old school as its all white but at least he hasn't got that awful damp any more. He gets into Manchester quite a bit now and has a new partner. He quizzes every Sunday night and is really enjoying life at last. He is hoping to get a passport soon so I am on standby for that! Enjoy your SM trip.
Ante, the day you have planned sounds absolutely perfect - compared to what you would normally be doing on a Monday.
Busy, I must look carefully the next time I am in France as I had never noticed that about the window sills. My upstairs windows have a release button that allows me to slide the whole frame along so that I can access both sides to clean them. I do NOT clean my own windows outsides however. Too worried I might fall out.

Hazel, I think your throw is lovely. I am really fond of those bracken style wools - thats what I call them anyway!

Can't get out as its torrenting down and it is still very, very dark. The forecasters lied (again) as they said I would have light rain showers and a gentle breeze today. Hmmmm.

Glad you had a good nights sleep @Rubee.

It's absolutely pouring down here, so very dark and quite chilly.

Hazel your throw is lovely.  Love my throws makes a room look cosy.  Chive I’m glad you enjoyed time with mum and relaxing.  Lily it’s good the gremlins have settled down.  I had a trip to the clothes pod this morning and then packed up some jeans from mum and dads and stayed for lunch.  Arrived home and put a jumper on and  made some tea.  Ante my good wishes to your mum on her retirement.  There’s nothing wrong with watching Poirot😁😸.  LB so glad to hear about a hey and Loko.   Busy your meal sounded lovely.  I sleep on my side.  LB good to hear sis in law had her op and hope she’s feeling okay.  It’s rained here too.

I did some gardening this morning and planted my new salvia Pink Amistad. Had to dig out a geranium phaeum to make room, but I have a lot as they keep seeding themselves.

Window cleaner has turned up, should have come this morning.

Was sunny, gone gloomy. Now raining, poor wet window cleaner.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Afternoon all. Not been able to do much in the garden today except dodging the rain to go down to the compost bin and watering my troughs again. They were very dry oddly enough. Hazel I really like the new colour green at the top of the web pages - very fresh looking, but I understand what you are saying about the lines around the text boxes. This does not bother me unduly as they are darker when you are typing a post. If you go into the Settings of your device you should be able to tweak the brightness of your web pages until you get an appearance that is better for you.

  • Hazel I’ve found that now I’ve logged back in they’ve redefined in bold so clearer than it was when I looked before and realised the change.
