They won't be members of the gun lobby that has caused their deaths, will they @Topbird? Â
The injustice on top of the terrible sadness really boils my blood. Next news the gun-toting loonies will put forward the solution of arming teachers, librarians, shop workers, etc. so they can shoot the lunatics first. It's utter madness!
I did the French papers an injustice in my earlier post, I was reading yesterday's paper on my phone in bed this morning. Now the French papers have come in and all the headlines are about the shootings at the school in Texas. So sad, the poor parents.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Afternoon all. I have had a lovely day today with Bestie. We went shopping at the retail park nearby and mooched around for a few hours.
Debs, I was happy to see that your friend's daughter has a more positive view on life now. Good for her.
Ruby, I feel sorry for the trouble your OH is having to put up with. It was good to read that there was no infection in his blood but lymphoedema sounds to be a nasty condition to deal with. I cannot believe that they couldn't provide him with a stronger pain killer than one you can get over the counter.
Hazel, I am glad that you have come to a joint decision about your Mum. It sounds like a good compromise.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
Speaking of wind it has been blowing a hooley here. I've had the results of my blood tests already. Apparently both my cholesterol and sugar levels are raised. Can't say I'm surprised but I will be adjusting my diet from now on. They want me to have another blood test in 3 months. I blame lock down for this

Afternoon everyone, I can only echo what’s been said about the shocking news from Texas, my heart goes out to all those families left devastated by this horror. LB I hope you are having a nice time with bestie today and the forecasted weather has improved for you, Rubee It was good that they carried out the tests yesterday at the hospital, but your poor OH is still left suffering with the pain and difficulty with mobility. I hope these stockings help his condition and he gets something to manage the pain and both are addressed quickly, I hope you are bearing up too it’s such a worry, Hazel Glad you have been able to talk to your brother about your mum, that must be such a relief for you to know she can stay in her own home. I hope you & OH are feeling better today, Debs Pleased to hear you had a nice time yesterday and that the friends daughter is feeling more optimistic about the future, I visited mum this morning to help with some chores and took a lunch for her. This afternoon I have flat thinged some dry cloth items and now it’s time to start tea.Â
