    Morning all.

I will plant the plants I bought at the plant fair. May have to cut the bottom leaves off a couple of foxgloves, self seeded, to make room.

    Afternoon all,

Not sure where the morning went - outsourced computer software malfunctioning on the one morning of the week that causes most havoc :o

Marti was busy overnight - everything got a good drenching including the lawn so I'm off sprinkler duties for the day :)

No sign of any bog, swamp or pond, which is definitely a good sign!

Had a quick tally up - roughly 80 plants in pots. I'd like most of those in the ground. Not sure how they'll fit or how long that will take.....

Hello all. Back to work this morning but not too bad then fiancé took me to GC to get plants for my own hanging baskets. I succumbed to a melon plant to try in the new greenhouse only £2 so worth a go I think. Got some strawberries too to placate him, he much prefers fruits to flowers! He doesn’t even eat fruit, but he prefers edibles every time and I do like a nice strawberry 🍓
Raining on and off  here but not cold so I don’t mind. Graham escaped yesterday luckily my granddaughter spotted him… little devil!

It has rained most of the morning .This afternoon has been glorious.Spent the afternoon dividing a large clump of campanulas. I t has  made four good sized clumps .In for a cuppa . Big Lad I am pleased to hear that so far you haven’t got a swamp/ pond in your garden . I hope it stays that way .
Busy did you manage to get your plants in the garden . I know that it has been raining in several places .Dove sorry that you didn’t make it to the plant fair. Not surprising when you have worked so hard . I often have a nap in the afternoon . It’s very refreshing .

Afternoon everyone, had trouble getting on here. Haven't read back but will in a mo.
The weather here today has been more like October. Very dark, windy and pouring with rain. Only good thing is it's done the garden the world of good.
    Hope everyone is well.

  • Lily good that you managed to get online.  Chive a nap early and then pottering.  I hope you’ve enjoyed the sunshine.  LB I’m afraid I missed the celebrations but some lovely footage of the horses, then the Queen enjoying the event.  I’ve been pottering and Alfie’s had his treats, mustn’t forget those.  I hope you managed to pick up Lilys food.  It’s set to be a warm day tomorrow according to forecasters.  Time for tea.

I've planted my new plants, moved an alstroemeria to give it more room and done a bit of weeding. Sprayed some of the lawn with anti-mole for OH, doubt it will work.

Tried out the sprinkler I bought the other day and it worked fine. Means our water pressure isn't as bad as I thought and that the cheapo sprinkler that OH bought is faulty. It had been cleaned out.

    No rain here, again.

Evening all. It seems that we all have had a busy time one way or another today.
Biglad, it seems that nature decided to test out your new drainage system for you. You must be happy with the results.
Debs, I think its well worth attempting to grow a melon in your new greenhouse. Hasn't your week off flown past? What about that little monkey Graham - making his bid for freedom. Perhaps he wants an extension on his palace.
Ruby, it has rained on and off all day here. It started just as I came out of 'sco - typical! I did get tempted by a lovely paeony which was very, very dry. The lady on the checkout commented on it but I knew that once I got it home I'd give it a good drink. I did that then left it standing in the rain. Hopefully I'll get it into the ground tomorrow.
SGL, it must have been your turn to have the gremlins this morning.
RosieBB, mission accomplished! The Lily larder is now re-stocked.
A little earlier today I got a message to say that Jack was back home so I gave him a call. He sounded fine and was bemoaning the fact that the food in hospital was inedible and he was looking forward to having some hot pot. I will catch up with him later in the week.
