Hello Dove and Nanny B. I’ve had a lazy day again today. We were expecting rain, but instead it was quite mild and dry. I can’t get it right lately. Pixel helped me pick parsley in the garden. 😁
Morning all, it's good to have a lazy day every now and again Pat, recharges the batteries for another day! Low cloud/mist here at the moment, the sun is trying to peep through, not sure it will be good enough to hang the washing out though. Snail hunting in the GH to take place ths morning. OH wisely said why don't you do it in the night when they are active, I replied "because that's not when I'm active" Lol
I've done a stock-take and I don't really need to go to the Farm Shop or butchers ... we have plenty of eggs, fruit, veg etc and meat in the freezer ... and we're out of bread so I need to be at home to do that ... so a batch of dough is proving ... I've also got a hot wash of teatowels and aprons etc in the machine and I've filled OH's soup flask. That's almost all today's 'must do' work done before 9am if only it was warmer I would spend the day in the garden, but it's too chilly for me ... it'll wait ... I'll leave the garden to the birds ... the robins are busy dashing back and forth to the nest, and the others who are very active on the sunflower feeders this morning ... the goldfinches particularly ... and as soon as a goldfinch lands on a feeder a woodpigeon swoops down and waits expectantly below for the bits the goldfinch chucks away ... that's teamwork

Still very grey and chilly here. It is Moira's birthday and our wedding anniversary tomorrow, but being b/h wkend, I don't really want to organise a trip, Derbyshire can get very busy.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Happy birthday Moira and many congratulations to you both for tomorrow @punkdoc ... I imagine you have something up your sleeve ... a sofa picnic of charcuterie, olives, cheese and wine and a good film would go down well with me ... I agree that joining the hordes driving around an overcrowded countryside doesn't appeal.
It's our niece's 20th today ... how time flies ... and yesterday was six years since Ma died.

Congratulations, @punkdoc, and happy birthday to Moira. OH’s Birthday always coincides with the late May bank holiday and school half term break. This year, everything is put back a week for the Jubilee celebrations, so we will try and make the most of this one off opportunity!
If it's any consolation, it's quite chilly here in Rotterdam too. They are promising some sun but no sign yet. Doing our Don Quixote bit this pm going to see windmills.
