Thanks @Nanny Beach, after my first marriage, which lasted 2 years, and was an unmitigated disaster, I am very happy with this "one".

    Happy Birthday to Moira

and Happy Anniversary to both of you, @punkdoc

    Hello all.

It's cold and grey here. Still no rain. BBC forecast said Norfolk is the coldest, cloudiest place in the UK today.

We really enjoyed "Blithe Spirit" last night. Well acted and good stage set. The village hall was full. They even served wine, beer, soft drinks and ice creams in the interval.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Afternoon all - reading back from yesterday afternoon.  Hats off to you @D0rdogne_Damsel for all your hard work. Glad it was a success and your 2nd chef sounds like a treasure.

Those tulips look amazing @Allotment Boy.  Sorry there wasn't a more spectacular display but an expo on eco living sounds  like something all countries should be holding.
We have a combi boiler but there are just to the two of us and only one shower.  We are careful not to turn on the kitchen taps when the other is showering, but not sure if it makes a difference.  Not having a tank full of water in the loft is something to be grateful for.  Our plumber said it should bring our house insurance down, but that's not a question they have ever asked.

Happy anniversary, and happy birthday to Moira @punkdoc. Thinking of my mum today as it would have been her birthday too.  Taureans are very loyal.

Up and out early today for a site visit to check where everything is going to go for the Jubilee celebrations.  I think they are going a bit over the top with hazard tape, tables with hand sanitiser etc. but as it's mostly the town council running it I suppose they have to have all bases covered.

It had better be a bit warmer than it is now!  We've got the heating on

Windmills at Kinderdijk. Cold and windy, now there is a surprise. I  knew a lot of the Netherlands was reclaimed, but didn't realise some is up to 6.5 m below sea level.

    Good evening!

@punkdoc    Happy Anniversaries!!!  We had the same with my late husband - 1 day, my birthday and the next day our wedding anniversary.  Could never get it right!!!

Sorry to say, but it has been a Bobby Dazzler here - 24°C  - but the sun is now covered with grey clouds and a sea breeze has come up - a bit treacherous for the throat area!!

Enjoy your evening and go easy  on the Prosecco guys!

I seem to have spent most of the day chasing neighbour's chickens out of the garden, there's free range but this is ridiculous. Yesterday it was sheep.
Happy birthday to Moira and a very happy wedding anniversary to you both tomorrow @punkdoc
