I've been up for ages, don't know where the morning has gone. I'll plant the clematis I bought on Saturday and edge the front garden path, it's mixed bricks set in the lawn. Grass grows over the edges.

Good afternoon to everyone - beautiful day with a light, cool sea breeze.
My tomatoes spent their first night out last night and seem to be none the worse for wear today. Another few days and maybe get a couple of rows in over the weekend. I get a lot of conical shaped snails here - they live in the ground - they've enjoyed most of my young basil plants and 2 cucumber plants - the little blighters!!
Quiet afternoon with some paperwork after a Swiss Ball lesson this morning.
Got a great bargain at the G/C, Phormium Jester in a 7.5l pot for £10. Problem is, I thought that gave me carte blanche to spend lots more money. Very annoyed that I was the only person wearing a mask.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Hello all, how lovely to have the sun back again and some warmth! Busy in the garden but not time yet to plant out tender veg. Mask wearing here is about half and half, nothing to persuade me to stop wearing one! One of our neighbour's husband has developed dementia so she is finding things increasingly difficult to cope with a large garden, chickens etc. Have a good day all and go gently with all the aches and pains.
Well, that was a surprise ... just after lunch I took a call from Luke the mechanic who said my car was ready to collect. I said that I thought he'd got today all booked up? He said that the car he was due to work on today is the customer's second car, whereas he knew mine is our only car so he asked his other customer if he could delay the work on his for a day. What a gent! Well, and the customer too. I sent my thanks. Now the car has two new tyres, and new shock absorbers and 'flies like a bird' ... well, almost

Thanks for asking @Pat E ... that's very kind of you ... actually she's fine ... we've phoned her every day, as has OH's local sister ... after a couple of nights awake coughing, yesterday she said she had the best night she'd had for ages and slept like a log and she really doesn't feel ill any more. She's staying in, and her elderly neighbours' daughter is getting her bread, milk and newspaper etc when she shops for her parents ... aren't folk lovely

Got a nice present yesterday - four bags of horse manure! One of our neighbours looks after a couple of small horses and used to donate the manure to a local jobbing gardener who has now retired. It looks like I may have a regular supply in future so I need to re-organise my composting and storage set-up.
