Lily,  so pleased you are feeling a bit better . That sounds like a dreadful bug .Take care of yourself and your OH too.Spent most of the afternoon in the garden . Replanted some alpines  and cleaned out my little pond . I hate doing that . It’s ready for some fresh rainwater and the plants putting back .Busy you take care ,don’t overdo it . You are a very busy lady .Take time to to relax .

@star gaze lily pleased you are feeling a bit better there is a really nasty virus doing the rounds at the moment with cough/ cold symptoms a lot of people are thinking it’s covid but it’s not.
Another very common symptom is ear infection so hope you avoid that.
Had a lovely productive day in the garden in the sunshine. Heating still not fixed but at least it’s warmer than it was.
Can’t wait for front drive to be finished I want to get all my pots set back up into position.
Hope everyone is having a busy sunny day.

Raaf duties passed off without incident and I summoned up the enthusiasm to mow the lawns when I got back. Sacked off the pipe fixing as I keep doing jobs that nobody notices have been done :D That job can stay on the 'To Do' list for a bit.

Comfy armchair for the football now. I'll be asleep by half-time ;)

  • Ante heater all unpacked and working well.  Chive I thought it wasn’t working but there is an extra discreet button in the back in addition to the remote control :).  Lily I’m glad to hear youre a little better and hope you and oh will rest and keep warm @star gaze lily.  LB I like to watch Father Brown too.  Debs good that you’ll be able to spend time with your fiancé.  I hope the weather warms up next week and Graham has his appetite back.  Busy it will be good for you to see oh again soon after your endeavours.

Sounds like we have the same bug @star gaze lily  I've been poorly a couple of weeks now but have tested negative all the way through.  Sore throat, ear ache, tight chest and horrible cough.  Secondborn has it too, we caught it off the boys.
We decided to go to Blenheim today and get some fresh air.  It was easy to stay away from the crowds, in fact it was very quiet.  Then we sat outside a very nice pub and had a lovely lunch.  I am really tired now and must admit that we didn't walk as much as we normally would have.
I'm thinking of phoning the doctor tomorrow as I'm wondering if I need antibiotics.

Thank you everyone, you're all very kind.
@Yviestevie it's a horrible bug isn't it.  I've no energy at all, im sure i need antibiotics too. I tried to get an appointment last week with the Dr.  🤦‍♀️ She told me no appointments for over two weeks, couldn't even get a phone call appointment. She told me to go to A&E!!  🤷‍♀️
Hope you feel better soon Yvie,  take care.

I'm sorry you've been feeling so rough @star gaze lily but I'm glad to have heard from you.

I've been gathering stuff to take to Norfolk, put clean bedding on the bed, mowed the lawn etc. OH has been invited to a dinner party tonight. Wish I'd been there, some of my favourite friends will be there. I'll see him on Wednesday.

    Good evening everyone.
Chive, I didn't go to see rellies today but I will be going for Easter Sunday.
Lovely to see you back SGL. You and Yvie seem to have had a really tough go of it these last days. Time for you both to look after yourselves until you're back to full strength. As a frequent sufferer of weeks of coughing I can fully sympathise with you both. Yvie, glad you enjoyed your trip to Blenheim. SGL, I cannot believe that that was the advice you were given. On breakfast time one day last week they were advocating just going to talk to your local pharmacist if you had severe cold symptoms as they can give useful advice and have medications at hand to help. You might get more satisfaction there.
Ruby, you have had a productive day in the garden. I did a bit of pottering but took advantage of the windy weather to do 2 sessions of Lily's TV. All nicely dried too.
Safe journey tomorrow Busy. You must be quite excited now. I'm sure you will be organising another meal with all your friends when you get back to Norfolk.
Debs, I'm glad that you have had a nice day in your garden. Hopefully all pots will be replaced to your liking very soon. I am sure you will enjoy next Tuesday helping to share the wedding work load with your fiancé.
Biglad, I bet notice is taken if the jobs DON'T get done!
