    Good morning to all.

Sorry for my absence last two days, but I have a good reason. We have lovely and sunny spring days, so I took advantage of that and was at cottage. I can proudly say that all my onions are now planted. First major job is done, and I'm happy it's over before Easter.

I'll join you with tea and then must go to school. Two more days before spring break.

Good Morning Bluebells, Debs, LB, Rubee & Ante and all to follow,
Bluebells I hope Alfie didn’t have any issues with his throat last night and you had a good sleep. Mum is progressing slowly but surely thank you for asking 😊
Debs Glad the wedding went well yesterday, hope you can get through this next couple of difficult days at work and look forward to Friday,
LB Very excited to see we have Blue Tits nesting in our garden, it’s using a box we put up a few years ago. Yesterday I was watching what I think is the male bringing food to the box, just delightful to see 🤗
Rubee I hope you have some gardening weather today, are your perennial plants due to arrive soon?
Ante Good to hear you have planted all your onions, that was a busy few days. Hope the last days of school go well for you,
SGL I hope you are starting to feel better now and you can look forward to the bank holiday weekend,
Hazel Fingers crossed that you & OH stay negative so you can go ahead with your plans at the weekend 🤞
Taking mum to a GC today, she wants some bedding plants for her garden and I’m after some compost.
Hope you all have a good day ahead.

    Morning everyone,
Looks like it's rained overnight. Also looks chilly out this Morning.
I thought the same @Ladybird4 a wedding on Good Friday. Hope you're able to go with your fiance @debs64
Can't believe it's Wednesday again already, where do these days go.
I'll join you in a cup of tea too @bluebellsintherain and @Ante1
    Have a good day everyone

Fiancé will have help for the Good Friday wedding so I am planning a lovely relaxing day in the garden. Just a few bits to do to get it ready for all the new plants I want to buy at the Malvern show.
@Ante1 so pleased you had good weather to get your onions into the ground. Nice to get ahead of yourself isnt it?

Hello all … the sun is shining ☀️ Chive we too are watching nesting birds in the garden … it’s such a lovely time of year isnt it. 😊
I suppose than those of us from a mainly Christian culture might be  instinctively surprised at the thought of a wedding on Good Friday … but of course there are folk who celebrate different religious festivals and none … weddings happen every day …  it’s the caterers and florists etc who provide a service across cultures who don’t get a break … plusses and minuses eh? Hope Deb’s fiancée gets a chance to put his feet up and take a breather at some time over the holiday … but as a former outside caterer I know how busy it can be at Easter! 😉

Sorry @Chivetalking you weren't there just now. Yes thank you, feeling better this morning. Still a slight tickly cough, but nowhere like it was. OH is on the mend too, but feels very tired. We're loving forward to seeing our poppets at the weekend 😍
Have fun at the GC, bet you bring some plants home too 😉🪴🪴

    Morning all.

I'm in Eastbourne, stayed the night with OH's daughter and family. The ferry crossing was OK, calm sea, took 4 hours then over 1 hour to get off and leave Newhaven. Off to Norfolk after breakfast.

I've read back, rather a lot. Glad Topbird sold the motor home and I hope Hazel and family are OK.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Woo hoo Ante! Well done you, for grabbing the good weather opportunity to get all of your onions planted. I am very pleased for you.
Chive, I am glad to hear that your Mum continues to progress. Great news. You have a wee family too. They are such sweet little birds. I was delighted to see a brambling in my garden this morning for the first time ever. Naturally my camera was nowhere near! It perched for a long time and I tried sidling backwards v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y but eventually he got bored of posing and flew off. Have a lovely trip to the GC with your Mum.
Debs, I received one of my regular emails from Thorncroft Clematis - other suppliers are available - and they are going to be at Malvern show.
SGL, pleased to hear you have made a tiny improvement in your health. That bug was not for letting go was it? You will have a super time this weekend with the poppets. Will there be an Easter egg hunt?
Busy, welcome back. You must be really looking foward to seeing your OH today.

Hello Hazel, you snuckered in there. Is this the funeral of your OH's colleague you told us of a few days back? Good to hear neither of you are feeling ill so hopefully your planned trip to your Mum's will go ahead.
