@mikeymustard that Pixie is lovely, I was eying that in a garden centre a few weeks ago, loved the dainty blooms. Lovely pure white and yellow too, early sensations greenish tinged so im still tempted by both! :D

I seem to remember a couple of years ago a long flowering clematis which I think was named Perpetual or something similar being talked about.  I think it was white.  I never managed to get one as it was always unavailable and now I can find no trace of it mentioned anywhere.  Am I going crazy or can anyone else remember it.

There is a montana Continuity which is nigh on impossible to source. Supposed to flower all season long. I could never find it. I phoned around and people said it was very hard to propogate. Do let us know if you ever see if for sale here. @Yviestevie

There is a clematis called perpetual which is in the Atragene group and was raised in Sweden.  It's mentioned in the Clematis on the Web site but no photo.

That's the one @Fire Continuity.  I had a 'let me know when it's in stock' notification registered with Taylor's but I've never been notified.

@Yviestevie I've been after it for years. Cool that you actually saw it in a shop

It certainly seems to have a long flowering period for a montana -

Given it was raised in the UK I'd have thought it would be more easily available.  The RHS lists 3 suppliers, including their own garden shop at Wisley  - https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/nurseries-search-result?query=210249

RHS suppliers never seem to stock the plants they list. They are years out of date, I don't know why the RHS does that. I did phone around to some of those listed and they said they had it ten years ago.
