    Thanks @mikeymustard, the overall look on Crystal Fountain was rather a mistake on my part.  I had collapsed the main stems down over the crown when we had overnight frosts forecasted a while back - and promptly forgot to tie them back up again when temps rose!
    It does look rather spectacular like that although it's now trying to climb up the wisteria as usual.

    .. I agree, that's a nice clematis @Lizzie27  not one I've seen before.

    From memory, it's an Evison one and was a cheapie found on the discounted table at the local GC! A real bargain when nursed back to health.
