    Eupatorium (Eutrochium) are great plants. Eupatorium dubium 'Baby Joe' can fit in smaller gardens but is still an imposing plant, with a long season of interest. The dark stems look handsome even before the flower buds have opened, and then the flowers last from high summer well into autumn, and become attractive winter skeletons. This is definitely in my top tier.
    I have just potted up a bare root of this plant from Farmer Gracy, so it's good to read this @Loxley. The wild one grows by the stream but it's a bit of a monster, so I opted for 'Baby Joe' for the border. Great pics.

    @Marlorena
    I have introduced both of these in my new rose bed as underplanting for my white, off white and pale tones roses.
    I am also working on another project in another part of the garden to create a courtyard space which will also be white.
    Photos to follow on both counts...

    Just another day at the plant...

    Cerastium Tomentosum which I prefer for it's silver foliage & Filipendula Vulgaris together in what was a rockery back in 2018 and now my new rose bed.

    Filipendula in a rocky? 😱 😱 😱 My estimation of the plant is entirely wrong, then. I thought it was a semi-bog plant. I also see that what I thought was a filipendula trying to come through is another type plant entirely. The filipendula leaves are similar to common valerian and I might have pulled it out by mistake. Blast. Yours looks wonderful. Hows long does it flower? @owd potter
