I meant to say that Lavender hedge earlier was simply wonderful.. 'Peter Pan' looks a good alternative.. My 'Hidcote' lasted about 10 years, it seeded by the hundreds, so I have a few here and there. I think it mostly comes true from seed or very similar..
Owd Potter.. I think yours is 'Munstead', 'Hidcote' is much darker..
Iris siberica is very lovely, and I saw Kniphofia 'Timothy' at a nursery today..

Thanks @Marlorena — I’ll try to keep it going for that long then!
Thanks @Marlorena I have grown both varieties from seeds and cuttings and now I just can't remember which has come from which. It's the darker Hidcote which I prefer I think.
@Marlorena Yes, that does look darker and I'm sure you are correct about it being Hidcote, I still have 3 leggy pots of this I think, so i'll need to get busy proliferating it from cuttings soon...
Lamprocapnos . S. Alba & Spectabilis in the background . I prefer alba as well much more elegant
Lupin Towering inferno
Lythrum rosy gem & Kniphorfia Tawny king again . I do have Lythrum Dropmore purple somewhere its nicer than rosy gem .
Lobelia Hadspen Purple seems slug proof due to its hairy leaves , I got Tanna & Tanna's sister in the front garden but no descent pictures . I used to have Lobelia Tupa a giant red lobelia but you need a nice hot / dry summer for it to do well , the winter wet eventually seen it off.
Ligularia Little Rocket with geranium Patrica in the background . Great plant wished it flowered longer . Ligularia przewalskii it like a weed here selfseeds everywhere . Monarda Squaw I think I did have Cambridge scarlet here but Squaw is far superior . Astible background Ligularia Britt Marie Crawford Monarda Scorpion Meconopsis Lingholm
Bonus Picture seen as Astibles were mentioned . They made a great background plant for this picture of Generous gardener . I removed this Astible they are far to happy here I go as far to say thuggish , this one was anyway it lives on the garage site now.
I'm envious of your Ligularias @Perki I have Britt Marie Crawford & Desdemona but they are small clumps compared to yours. I struggle to keep them with slugs decimating the gorgeous foliage early and then wilting terribly during summer as I cannot keep my garden damp enough for them.
I know I'm late to the 'C' party but was intrigued by your story @Marlorena about Coreopsis. I have Coreopsis 'Moonbeam' which is a favourite of mine, has done really well two years running. I also had 'Mango Punch' which absolutely outdid itself in the first year but disappeared completely... I may grow it again as it was gorgeous. Mango Punch Moonbeam

Actaea pachypoda with silvery foliage and berries that appear in late summer (sorry about the late entry for A).
