Oh good, perennials and roses are what I like best! I'm in the middle of planted up a new border, a jewel bed so full of bright colours.

I keep wanting to try A.Buxton but I think the winter wet will see it off here, I will pick a plant up when I come across one . Do they divide well @Marlorena ?

Mine just died on me, I don't think they liked my clay soil and/or semi shade. Might try again and give them a sunnier spot.

..they are so easy to strike from cuttings, once you have one plant you need never buy another...  they form an evergreen clump and I take cuttings just a few inches long from anywhere on the plant in late winter/early spring, pop into a small pot of compost or even in situ where you want them to flower... by summer you have a new bushy plant to flower well the first year..

I can't imagine my summer border to be without them to be honest..

    Neither can I @Marlorena

I only discovered this plant in recent years when visiting Bluebell Cottage Garden in Cheshire and saw it dominating the edge of one of the beds. I fell instantly in love with it and bought the last three plants from their nursery.

I play with plants and soil and sometimes it's successful
