LofS, sadly munched bud on Gabriel Oak (still smells lovely, though) and Arthur Bell which is healthy, fragrant and getting huge, plus some other colours from the day couple of days. Eyes for You doesn't want to open properly. No new roses but several on the cusp now, incl a rescued Ebb Tide and new Rose des Cisterciens. We all must be doing the same daily scamper to the garden to see what's out!

I've sort off given up on that, am now holding out for that wonderful surprise you get when you're not actually looking. I have spotted a bud on Lady of the Lake but won't let on I've seen it..... Dr.Jamain has about four buds too, a record I think.
On the plus side, good old Bonica is rewarding me yet again after quite a late hard prune, with plenty of new growth and buds. Ghislaine looking better than she has for a while (transplanted late this spring, in a rainstorm.) And Marie Pavie (second year, in a pot) has finally awoken from suspended animation, looking much more pink in bud and early bloom than last year.
'Lady of the Lake' is just starting to open up. There are tons of buds so I should start getting a beautiful display very soon, and will last all summer.
...happy holidays to those already out and about.. lovely roses and other flowers above.. all coming along nicely.. Bonica is such a good grower and prolific bloomer, if rather floppy.. ..another funny face from 'Scarborough Fair'.. 'Tottering by Gently'.. 'The Anniversary Rose'..
Just had a massive catch-up again - I've changed my commute now so I don't get any early morning rose-nosying
@Eustace, that Cecilia is very charming. I didn't know you had Ulmer Munster too, mine is a mere whippersnapper but I'm glad to see it is what I call a red-red (in Crayola shades )
@edhelka, your Reine des Violettes is a beautiful colour, I hope mine looks like that
@Omori, your Mrs Bradshaw/E Bowles Mauve combo is stunning. I've often looked at Wild Edric but I don't have many planting options for pink roses as my garden is so citrus heavy.
@JessicaS, your Lichfield Angel looks like it is going to be a smasher, I look forward to seeing that flower
@cooldoc, I like your Lyda Rose, it is looking well in a pot, another one I've considered before
@newbie77, wonderful pink and purple border, a really nice mix
@Suesyn, nice to see your Yesterday. It is a darker pink than I thought; is that a typical colour?
Been very blustery this week, quiet in the AM and then picking up throughout the day. I've had to stake a few roses and the front garden alliums are mostly flattened.
Celebration 2000, tiny flowers about 2" ranging from mango flesh at bud stage through to banana flesh when old. Sometimes this rose looks amazing other times terrible. Middling at the mo
Scrambled blooms on Ness but this is a sweet and likeable rose. I noticed this year it has a scent but only when the sun is on it. As a pleb I would describe the scent as obviously rosy.
The mighty Summer Sweetheart by Harkness, about to kick off. A good doer.
Oh, I forgot to say, I hope your garden day is going well @Fire
@Nollie, did you get Thisbe as well or just BB? Not sure if I dreamt that about Thisbe as it was on my list last year but sold out while I was procrastinating.
RiB just starting. I didn't notice straightaway as it's the same colour as the Allium Purple Sensations. A length of Westerland has collapsed into it. It is growing in a large W shape taking up loads of space, this is just the rhs piece with the two orange buds.
A non-rose bridge shot for everyone who is always so kind about the bridge. Camassia Maybelle and an early light pink bistort are current pondside heroes..
A sprig of Fountain with a weird starter flower on the right. The allium pom is to make my phone adjust to the correct red, it is near as damn it colour here. A velvety thick red.
A new allium to me, Stratos (edited) with the dregs of Camassia Electra behind. A strong upright Cam. A bud heavy Blush Noisette on the lhs fence.
I have just had to go out and dead head the centre rose on each cluster of my Blue for You, never had to do it so early! I find if you don't do it quickly enough it inhibits the surrounding buds from opening properly. On a plus side while weeding below my white climber I realised I was in a cloud of rose scent. Which is a bonus as last year it didn't appear to have any, so maybe it needs more blooms for the scent to waft, it is a light rose scent I would say.

@WhereAreMySecateurs what is that pretty blue flower above the dianthus?
I never looked at purple roses before — Ebb Tide and Twilight Zone look fantastic.
Roald Dahl just joined the party
Vanessa Bell and Purple Sensation
Olivia Rose Austin looks great even when it's fading
