Domaine de Chantily.. fruity fragrance.. Flowers similar to HT (single flower at the end of stems)
Munstead.. at last.. (technically second flush for me)
Lily / Theo clevers.. produces bouquets (8-9 flowers) at end of long stems which tends to flop over due to its weight (more so if its raining)... so far only mildly fragrant for me..
Lots of lovely roses to catch up with. Gorgeous garden shots too.
So busy here with family visiting from abroad for the first time since Covid and everyone coming to ours to see them. Lovely time though to get people appreciating the roses, especially given they weren't here at all 3 years ago.
I just had a quick tour of the garden to see the damage from yesterday's 30.7 DegC. Lots of deadheading to do.
New to me this year Soul, Heidi Klum and Tottering
Wollerton OH, TLarkA, Bathsheba and Faustinia with Grafin DianaNot truecolour Royal William, Wild Rover, Pink Martini and WildberryStrawberry Hill (Claire Austin the white one behind) Rambling Rosie and Bathsheba
I got that SH potted from DA in May2020 Cooldoc. Faustinia is looking very promising, healthy and floriferous with upward-facing blooms, good scent too, sometimes aniseed sometimes strongly nectarine, was bare root in December though so early days.
@Oliya Thank you, I don't think the flowers of Wellbeing shatters in 3 days. but I will double check. I will take Wellbeing pictures everyday until it shatters and post it here for you.Â
@Nollie Thank you. Grafin Diana is a lovely rose and this one doesn't need spraying (I do spray on others except few!) . Flowers might struggle to open in the cold wet weather. The dark colour and scent is my absolute favourite, but thorny. Flowers look good at the hot weather and standout. Grows tall, strong stems and doesn't need any support.
@cooldoc Glad to hear that you have got the same collection
@JessicaS I can't remember the individual names.. didn't see any from the 'Frayla' collection. Edible collection (including Theo-clevers), Pearl Vaza and some other collections as well.. But lots of pots.. like an entire section dedicated to them.. saw a Red single flower,4 or 5 petals but huge blooms and yellow stamens... must be Scarlet winter Jewel..
Draga's description is delicate scent.. but its in Frayla collection.. can't remember who had it here.. wondering if its scent is good..Â

And how is the habit of Faustinia, given that its an offspring of GC and Julia child..?

Pure Poetry, such a beautiful rose, but on my list to remove because of all the shortcomings.
