@cooldoc, def. chlorosis with mine, most of my Austins have it, GC was just an example but Lady Em, The Prince, Darcy Bussell all have it too. Munstead Wood usually gets it first but is actually OK - it’s in the warmest, sunniest site on a slight slope so better drainage than the others, which is why I suspect it’s down to weather/drowning. The Austins are prone to it, more sensitive to my very alkaline soil and hard water than almost any other rose I have.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Speaking of Toyah. Is this a sucker? It is growing from below ground, so beneath the graft, leaves are smaller, more roundish and don't show any of the reddish tint of new leaves higher up
I have a mix of Hozelock and Gardena but maybe the mix is why I have joins that need extra Jubileeclips and PTFE tape.
Buds coming along in the recent weather, it will be so taunting if it all stops now. Top feft clockwise Canary Bird, England's Rose, Desdemona, Diamond Eyes. I wasn't expecting too much from my FOMO Munstead Wood bare root purchase in December but am pleasantly surprised, excuse Sulphur blotches.Just gave GdeF a seaweed iron drink, but that is my only chlorotic rose currently.
What's in a name? everything it seems. This does annoy me but it's happening across the industry these days, at one time they weren't supposed to be doing it..
The rose I mentioned earlier that I saw at Dobbies, a Pheno Geno rose, I think it was called 'Summer Sunshine'.. or [something] Sunshine, and for a moment I thought it was the new DA release, the photo and description mimicked Bring Me Sunshine, so even I was fooled for a few moments.. which is probably the whole idea..
Pheno Geno call the same rose 'Olivera'.. Trevor White's list it as 'Zara'... so we can take our pick..
@owd potter I meant to say what lovely foliage.. esp. The Generous Gardener.. I hope you're pleased with this rose and how it's growing for you..
@Marlorena , the foliage is lovely indeed. Last year it has put out 1 long sturdy cane of about 3m in length that I have tied in over the pergola structure. That cane is now producing numerous sturdy shoots that I hope will become laterals to tie in horizontally across trellis in both directions. I am delighted with the performance of this rose, as I am with all my new roses which are a mass of new strong growth, and hope for a good display this year Â

together with what looks like quite a large piece of root.
