    @JessicaS
    I've posted the photos to HMF and asked a couple of Dutch people on there that I speak to.. they don't know it either.  So I'm not hopeful but we shall see..

    I see the weather is taking a turn for the worse.. 12C at the end of May !.. whilst Nollie will be basking in 38..

    I dont like very long name with a whole phrase or something with relations in it. If I buy something like mum in million and I hated the rose then what would i say or do? I have a little aversion to some royal names, I didnt buy William and Catherine, though I did get Elizabeth.

    Thank you @Marlorena !

    I do like the look of the two new beales.  Oxford physic is very elegant, oos though for preorder.  Ive pre ordered loyal companion instead even though its a daft "Sorry it rained last Thursday" style name and im with Nollie on dislike of the yay England royal bandwaggon - it was 20% off for chelsea week though and its very pretty and unusual. I punted on lavender symphonies too for a pot.

    Ive got princess diana clematis must admit purely as its a brilliant performer, mum has it too same reason, romps up its trellis and looks lovely like little ballet dancers or bells. Ive got Kate too same series but purple. One thing about royal named they do make sure they are good plants!

    Oh yes to the literary characters, wonderful, and I'll probably succumb to the allure of the beautiful Desdemona eventually, though it is a name that evokes such sadness.

    (I do have a Prince Charles clematis but pretend it was named after someone else, like that old Bourbon rose Prince Charles from the 1840s!)

    Spraying neighbour alert..
    Does anyone else suffer the loss of plants to neighbours who spray?  every year I lose something and they're at it again today, on a windy day of course, it always is, and the wind is in my direction..   a few weeds on the driveway and out comes the sprays..
    I'm bound to lose something along my road frontage as it's directly across..

    We all get along well, but they're not gardeners..

    Ugh that’s so frustrating Marlorena. I don’t think any of my neighbours give one tiny toss about anything in their gardens, including weeds. You should see the bindweed growing up a neighbours house!!

    😂

    I quite like when there is more than one name for a rose - so at least we can choose. I personally prefer "Julia Child" over Ab Fab. Names are stupidly important to me. I always worried that I might fall hopelessly in love with a Rupert or a Wayne.

    .. love your 'Wild Edric'.. I think it's the rose in Fire's allotment photo earlier..

    ..how do you find Reine Victoria?
