That is really bad luck @Oliya, hope you get redress for the duffers.
Have you sneaked in two new standards this year @Omori, can we see full body shots please?! š Olivia looks fabulous..
@ciaranmcgrenera I struggle getting the balance right with the rose space to grow/pack āem in cottage garden thing. My shrub roses seem to have a hissy fit if anything touches or overhangs them and instantly get black spot, but leaving too much bare soil around them doesnāt look good either and means more watering/weeding.
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
@Oliya it is frustrating to wait so long for the blooms only to find out its not the same one... I like the rose you got.. plus its fragrant.. hope you get an ID soon.. plus the Elizabeth which DA ships you would be a well established one, hopefully with buds..
@Fire hope you have recovered.. I see that sense of humour is back.. and Cooldoc is not a 'She'
after going through all those pages, I can't remember the name of roses that I wanted to take note of..
@Oliya - I was very interested to see you have ended up with something other than the āElizabethā you ordered from David Austin. I too ordered two bare roots Elizabeth in February, taking advantage of the discount. I bought two oak barrels and peony supports specially, have lovingly nurtured them all this time, only to find theyāre something different. I feel your disappointment! Ā I have contacted David Austin and am awaiting their comments, but Iām not sure I have the heart or energy to start all over again. I seem to have ended up with the same as you - with Elizabeth labels on them. I tried to post a photo but it didnāt upload.Ā
Amazing day.. 10/10 for this one.. huge upright blooms which are petal packed and strongly scented.. double coloures.. Despite having large blooms, she produces buds in clusters.. Only downside would be the slight tinge of yellow on older blooms..
Artemis.. Creamy white.. was a bit doubtful on the scent but she is fragrant.. not strong.. possibly medium.. similar scent to Julia Child.. a good find.. thanks to Marlorena..
Fruity Parfuma.. Kordes.. cupped flowers.. bubble-gum pink.. scent is rose-fruity.. not yet a strong scent.. (not her fault, she is among best scented ones) flowers in small clusters with odd single blooms..
First bloom on Lady Emma Hamilton.. late to the party compared to other Austins but blooms well into autumn.. Fragrance is..............

Someone had asked about Twice in a blue moon.. From what I heard from forums, they are very similar.. look at a comment from someone who grows both..Ā https://www.helpmefind.com/gardening/l.php?l=2.40546&tab=32
Young Lycidas.. Non stop bloomer.. but weak necks.. (not as bad as Jubilee celebration, which just hangs upside down)
Theo Clevers (Pheno Geno).. Produces small blooms in clusters.. this is just one of the cluster.. I could detect only a mild scent..Ā
Natalija (Pheno Geno).. Fruity scent.. similar to Lady EH.. (not as strong).. good bloom size and in clusters...
Bring me Sunshine.. good fragrance.. Yellow as it can be.. no sign of apricot..
Julia Child.. Depending on the age of flowers it would appear yellow or white..
