@Tack and @newbie77 I have a 4 way water splitter so I only need to open the main and then open or close the valve or valves that go to the tube/tubes I want the water to go. It doesn’t cost much and is a time saver. Something like that:
That looks great Dabolem. My soakers are in very spread apart and different sections of the garden, 2 of them a long way from the tap, so it would require long distances of hose/pipe buried beneath the lawn. I use the hose to manually water smaller pockets of plants elsewhere in the garden too so still need to have a hose run out.
Has anyone who ordered from RV Roger recently got an idea what their postage for two potted roses might be?Â
First collage: garden earlier this morning. 1. I need to get to grips with Arthur Bell's heavy floppy-clustered sideshoots, but what a rose. Never stops. And ever more buds. 2. Arthur Bell, a few dodgy leaves to be picked off here and there but overwhelmingly healthy in this no-spray garden. 3. Adam Messerich. Colour is accurate in the sunshine this morning. 4. Boule de Neige... some blackspot and insect damage, but still gorgeous. 5. Chandos Beauty. The flies seem to go for this.
The second collage is Buff Beauty, Chandos Beauty, LoS and Tranquillity. Loving these colours. Have both Evelyn and Liliana on order for next year- what other roses in the cream--->apricot spectrum would you recommend?
I just had one rose and 3 ferns delivered this week from RV Roger, £10 delivery charge.
@Omori I meant to ask about your lovely MIP, you suggest it doesn't like afternoon sun, does that refer to blooms crisping or does the foliage not like it either? Mine is still in a pot and now the flowers have gone I've dragged it into full, allday sun, maybe I shouldn't have?
Nice things on the patio, left to right,Chandos Beauty, unknown white, Olivia RA, Heidi K, Forever Royal (the new rose) and Pink MartiniEasy DI, Malvern Hills and ChippendaleStrange Brew, in reality much more chestnut ombreing to bright gold yellow. It is bizarre but I like it
Beautiful @Tack. My Mme Isaac Pereire is in full sun, it’s not that it suffers overall but I think the flowers stay more luscious out of midday sun.Â
Thanks Omori, that's what I was hoping you'd say, it can stay put till the next flush. I also forgot to specifically admire your most recent dog pic. Seeing any Yellow Lab makes my heart flip but yours is particularly gorgeous.
