@pitter-patter fantastic garden. Loved the way you have created rooms in your garden. Your planting is so very thoughtful and pleasant. Love the colour and plant combos too, especially the highlighted roses, standards and those on the pedestal. ššš
Oxford. The City of Dreaming Spires.
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils (roses). Taking a bit of liberty with Wordsworth
@ciaranmcgrenera .. we haven't forgotten your question and will get back more tomorrow, but meantime you might consider 'Malvern Hills' for your wall, it will stretch to 20 feet in time.. Mr Vine has nice photos of it, I appear to have lost mine..Ā A photo of said wall and some idea of colours you like would help further maybe..?
In a week or two when the fence goes up Iāll send a photo. Realistically itāll be quite some time til I plant as a lot of work will have to be done to get the soil ready. Youāre right also, Iāll have a think about what Iād like toĀ put in there.Ā
I actually managed to watch @pitter-patterāsvideo, usually my internet gives up. Wow, thatās a fabulous garden and fantastic achievement pp!
Itās so exciting when your first bloom appears @Cecelia-L, lovely yellow.
Alberic Barbier, gentle yellow fading to cream:
Dominique Loiseau, a newbie from Delbard, delicate and pretty:
Blush Noisette, pot sunk into the ground in a totally unsuitable location. Itās acting as a temporary place-holder while my Souvenir de St Anneās recovers in a pot from the great fig root invasion:
Stormy Weather in various shades. Exposed on a metal fence, this seemed to suffer badly from earlier deep freezes. It has a huge amount of leaf senescence and Iām picking up handfuls of yellow leaves dailyĀ from the ground:
Mme. Isaac Pereire, doing well and I like how the blooms fade with silvery highlights but underwhelming scent. Certainly not the āstrong raspberry fragranceā it reputedly has for others and the reason I bought it!
Mountainous Northern Catalunya, Spain. Hot summers, cold winters.
Oooh what lovely roses all! Utopia is straight on my list! Bit different today, heres a view from my kitchen french windows as it made me smile this morning. You can see about 70 of my roses starting to bud and open. I missed an angle to show my middle rose bed oops! Excuse the unplanted bits and pieces lying in trays etc and the slight blurs of 'basset nose art' on the windows!
@JessicaS your garden is so beautiful, thanks for posting these views. It looks so mature, yet I remember you planting so much of it and having the little fences installed. Well done, it is lovely.
@pitter-patter Thank you for posting the video, I enjoyed wandering through the different areas and I think you did an excellent job of filming it. Lovely planting and paving.
